isaac.
THE WHOLE event was becoming slightly unbearable, if isaac was being honest. being forced to fake smile and pose with his family ( sans grace as she opted not to go, despite his pleas ) was not his idea of a good time. he wasn’t on good terms with his parents still, as well as his younger brother james after all, and seeing them continue to pretend like they’re a perfect, rich and influential family without isaac’s twin sister really caused his blood to boil. not to mention, his parents pestering him to find a “new fiancee since the other one was a gold digger” was really grating on his nerves. the ceo then excused himself tersely before abandoning his family in search for a corner to drink by himself. “fuckin’ parents,” he cursed as he grabbed a flute of champagne and downed it in one gulp.
Cepheus snorted at his obvious frustration. “Nice to know it doesn’t actually go away when you get older.”

“well, it’s easy to think things are normal when it’s all you’ve ever known.” he surmised. “..i bet the food’s still pretty good though.”
“Oh most definitely. The food’s always been the best part of any event. One of the reasons I don’t think I’ll ever stop attending.”

“I’ll definitely agree with that.”

"ah, yes. gamp’s law of elemental transfiguration would get to be a thorn eventually– but there’s always multiplication. buy a little food, and turn it into bulk–!”
“You have a good point, but that still wouldn’t be magic alone.”

“i forgot how PRETENTIOUS this place can be.”
“Maybe it’s just the time away, growing up with it seemed normal, then we went into the real world.”

Leia turned with a quickness and the eyes of someone cautious and observant when the boy spoke up and she met his gaze. She’d been possibly giving the impression of someone startled or suspicious, but it didn’t matter much to the trained auror. It was how she was suppose to act, and if she was deep in thought, her first instincts kicked in despite being somewhere she could let her guard down.
The witch couldn’t help thinking the student looked rather familiar. She’d seen many photos and profiles at the office, so it was possibly that. “…Oh,” Leia responded, relaxing her posture as she looked back at the trophy. “Yeah, actually… Do you know the person?”
“Well, yeah,” Cepheus laughed at the older girl’s confusion. You’re looking at him.”

“Or the world’s out to get you, there’s always that option.”

It had been an eventful day at Hogwarts, and Leia found herself no longer completely regretting having decided to occasionally help volunteer with the dueling club. After talking a walk around the grounds, the witch found herself stopping by a glass case of old trophies, photos and memories in one of the school hallways. One name caught her attention in particular. Black. She stopped, expression becoming more wary as she approached to get a better look at it.
“It’s from the Quidditch cup last year. The trophy, I mean.” Cepheus explained. “Sorry if I startled you, you seemed curious.”

“Well, it definitely depends, yeah? muggle literature or wizarding literature and then - what genere? if you have absolutely no idea - then i also may have a suggestion or two for that.”
“Wizard, always. And I tend to enjoy mystery.”

“perhaps though one could always ask for days off in advanced since we all know when the events usually are or there about. it’s a good question, though, even if i don’t feel like it’s something i should really question.”
“I mean yeah, but that’s what makes them hard to get off. Everyone wants to go.”
