These large planters are everywhere across campus, but they haven’t been updated since the name change over 10 years ago. They also look newly painted so that seems to be a double message as to the pride of the name change.

To me this is mysterious in a way because while people can sit at the tables and eat, the old outdoor oven is unusable by most of the student body who wonder why there are fireplaces outdoors.

These are the steps up to Humanities, as you can sort of see there are cigarette butts on the ground despite the fact that this picture is after the tobacco band. These steps are also regularly used by skateboarders and cyclists for tricks.

This bridge replaced on that had steps that led down to it, and wobbled as you walked over it. Many students avoided the bridge because the climb up to the Suites was rather steep, the new construction made the climb less steep and the bridge more stable and accessible.

The pathway around this flame is rather hard for students with mobility issues, and I see people going over the grass all the time. Plus, it’s the tribute to the university lasting 100 years.
I was told at one point that the flame was placed here just after the Campus Center was expanded to it’s current size as a way of marking how the university had progressed.

This is one of the gates through University Suites. It’s a double message in my mind because you see the flame brand, but it’s rather faded. It also shows the community of the Suites as being closed and not inviting.
