So this goofball thinks today is his anniversary of birth. @jonas_trent_king you sir. Are hands down the BIGGEST troublemaker I know. Your loud and down tight hilarious, and a little cantankerous too. I don’t get to work very often with my little brother I never had but when I do, I’m thankful for your smiling face and quick whit. Yesterday was the last day of the #kwbr2023. We rode from marathon to key west. The southern most point of the United States. A lot of great memories from this tour. #kwbr2023 is almost in the books. Hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day! People often ask me what ride I look forward to most? It’s this ride. The Key West bike ride. The Key West bike ride is a family reunion of sorts. Once you do it, you’ll be back year after year! Tomorrow is my least favorite day of the ride! It’s the last day. @allpraisejc asked me once a couple years back why I’m so quiet on the last day? It’s because I don’t want to go home! These last two days are both FIFTY miles. Todays ride was an 80 minute ride around watopia on @gozwift. Todays ride was dedicated to my grandma Grimes who would’ve been 78 today. I’m thankful for impact on my life growing up and I can’t wait to be reunited with her again. This ride is traditionally minutes on the trainer as I know it’s somewhat bearable riding indoors. Not quite 100% sure I can wrap my head around this day. Set pit with the mindset of just enjoy my miles. I also set out with the mindset of I think I can do a century, keep in mind it’s been since @ragbrai since I’ve done a 100 mile day, and I’ve also been unmotivated since I haven’t had any @endscycling tours the second half of my year. It was a marvelous Saturday for miles! Transparency post coming.
6k miles on bikes this year. The last 1500 haven't been easy to come by either. After ragbrai I haven't had the motivation to get on the bike....
I haven’t had the motivation to get on the bike consistently after RAGBRAI.
Usually my goal after RAGBRAI Is to DOUBLE my miles that I had before the ride in training. Beteeen fighting an injury Incurred on RAGBRAI and no events on the calendar I haven’t had the motivation to ride consistently. That ladies and gentlemen is going to change!
