*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/3w5cymwupi363 Ellen Pompeo’s Emmy slam was meant to be off the record. The actress caused controversy when she said Sunday’s awards show was lacking in diversity and out of date. "The Emmys felt so dated to me,” she told AP on Sunday. “That dance number was embarrassing. Did you see one person of colour in that dance number?" The 43-year-old added she is "extremely proud of our very, very diverse cast [on TV show Grey’s Anatomy], which represents the world that I walk around in every day." But during an appearance on programme Watch What Happens Live, Ellen insisted the comments were meant to be off the record. Although she is standing by her statement, Ellen added that her team is investigating the matter. Ellen also revealed that she prefers kissing her co-star Patrick Dempsey to Chris O’Donnell, who was also on the show, and is still very good friends with ex-castmate Katherine Heigl. Sunday’s show had two dance numbers. One featured Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Sarah Silverman and the Emmys Gold Dancers. The second was an interpretive dance number by the nominees for Best Choreography. Grey’s Anatomy has won five Emmy Awards so far and the tenth season of the show will air this Thursday in the US.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/yrmj4nguvwo88 WHAT really happened to past winners of AGT- champs or chumps? SEASON 7, 2012 Olate Dogs, dog act Season 7 went straight to the dogs – literally! Nick Olate, 20, his father Richard, 57, and their team of well-trained pooches flipped and tumbled their way into America’s hearts. After earning the top-dog spot, the family celebrated by purchasing a new truck and a super-size trailer to transport their growing family of pups, many of which have been rescued from shelters. The Olate Dogs recently headlined a show at The Palazzo in Las Vegas, and they also perform at NBA halftime shows around the country. Budding pop singer Nick recently completed his debut album, which is scheduled to be released this fall. SEASON 6, 2011 Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., crooner, 39 Landau used his incredible voice to propel him from car-washer to world-class crooner. Raised on welfare and homeless at the age of 19, the West Virginia native was overcome with emotion when host Nick Cannon announced he’d won the show’s million-dollar prize. But the father of four couldn’t rush out and spend his winnings – he was behind on child support and needed to pay up. Since winning “AGT,” he’s performed to packed houses across the country. He also released his first album, “That’s Life,” two years ago and hopes to have a compilation of Christmas songs out before the holidays. SEASON 5, 2010 Michael Grimm, singer, 33 Michael made good on his promise to build a new home for his grandparents after he took the million-dollar prize on “AGT.” He’s grateful he was able to help them, as his grandmother is now battling colon cancer and his grandfather is suffering from dementia. But it hasn’t all been grim for Grimm! Michael and his longtime girlfriend, Lucie Zolcerova, married less than a year after the “AGT” finale (below). He’s also released a critically praised solo CD and toured as an opening act for Stevie Nicks. SEASON 4, 2009 Kevin Skinner, country singer, 39 Judge Sharon Osbourne didn’t have high hopes for the unemployed chicken farmer the first time he walked out onto the “AGT” stage, but his heartfelt performance of Garth Brooks’ “If Tomorrow Never Comes” changed her mind. Maybe Sharon’s first impression was right! Although Kevin’s toured clubs and casinos over the past few years, things have “slowed down” this year, he says. The father of two from Mayfield, Ky., is “taking some time off” to focus on writing and to care for his elderly parents, Jackie and Joe. SEASON 3, 2008 Neal E. Boyd, opera singer, 37 Neal’s rendition of “Nessun Dorma” had all three judges – and the audience – on their feet at his audition. So it was no surprise when he went on to win the competition. But despite his booming voice, Neal’s back to a 9-to-5 life in the insurance business as co-owner of Cox & Boyd insurance brokerage in Eureka, Mo. He ran for a seat in the Missouri House of Representatives in 2012, but lost by a large margin. He recently announced he intends to run again (as a Republican) in 2014. Neal still performs a few times a month and is currently in the studio working on an album of Christmas music. SEASON 2, 2007 Terry Fator, ventriloquist, 48 Prior to his big win on “AGT,” Texan Terry Fator was told that he would never be good enough for Vegas. Boy, did he show them! Terry, a singing ventriloquist/comedian, now has a long-term contract with The Mirage Hotel in Sin City that’s reportedly worth $100 million. But Terry took some heat when he dumped his wife of nearly 20 years, Melinda (pictured above), not long after hitting it big. Just hours after their bitter divorce was final in November 2010, Terry raced to the altar with his Hawaiian honey – his onstage assistant Taylor Makakoa (left), who was then just 22 years old. Calling Taylor his “soul mate,” Terry said: “We are so happy and looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together.” SEASON 1, 2006 Bianca Ryan, singer, then 11 years old This little firecracker wowed judges and viewers when she belted out her soulful rendition of the “Dreamgirls” anthem, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going,” at her audition. From there, it was smooth sailing as she easily took the million-dollar prize. Simon Cowell signed the redheaded wunderkind to a multiyear recording deal in 2006. She’s cut a CD, holiday recordings and, now 19, is working on another CD.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/3i5pgtshxrr6z Around the time the Emmys had Don Cheadle soberly bring up JFK’s assassination and link it to The Beatles’ appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in order to shoehorn a performance of “Yesterday” by Carrie Underwood into the ceremony, I thought, There really is something to be said for failing spectacularly: It is not boring. Our relationship to awards shows is fundamentally amnesiac. Every time one rolls around, millions of viewers excitedly gather round, scope the dresses, sit through the opening sequence, form an opinion about the host and then … get bored and start to complain. And yet, when E! trots out the mani-cam once again, we all gather round as if this next awards show will be different. Well, last night’s Emmys were different: They were the death-obsessed, way-too-meta, “Emmy voters are so wacky they gave Jeff Daniels an Emmy for his performance in The Newsroom” Emmys. Luckily—or is it unluckily?—we have a whole four months to forget them before awards season starts up in earnest once again. Unlike most failed awards shows, the blame won’t go to the emcee—or not entirely, anyway. Neil Patrick Harris should take a break from hosting, but he’s still no Seth MacFarlane (even if he did smuggle a sex-show joke into his introduction of the Deschanel sisters). His reserves of charming cheerfulness are boundless: The man was somehow smiling after dancing to a mash-up of “Luck Be a Lady” and the Game of Thrones theme song. Last night’s mess can be blamed on some good-in-theory ideas that were terrible-in-fact, plus a couple flat out terrible ideas. (See: that JFK-to-Beatles-to-Carrie Underwood segue and all the jokes involving the word twerk.) The plan to have celebrities give personalized eulogies during the show was a promising, if slightly shameless scheme. But when Robin Williams, Rob Reiner, and Edie Falco honored Jonathan Winters, Jean Stapleton, and James Gandolfini without showing footage of their work, it drew too much attention to the speaker, not enough attention to the deceased. And as these Hallmarkian segments accrued, death became the night’s big theme—just deserts for all the people who chose to watch the Emmys instead of Breaking Bad, thinking it might be more fun. The show also explored the outer-limits of meta humor. This year’s intro ignored the nominees almost entirely so Harris could fight with past Emmy hosts about how to host the Emmys. His song in the middle of the show—too clever a placement for its own good—was not about the nominees either: It was about how the song was appearing in the middle of the show. The usual awards-show opener, in which the host does a stand-up routine or song-and-dance number about the nominees, may be predictable, but at least it’s about the nominees. As Harris noted, there is so much TV on now, it’s hard to watch all of it. Most people don’t. But the Emmys didn’t help them out at all, instead cracking jokes about its own format—a celebration of cleverness, not television. If Modern Family or Breaking Bad had swept as thoroughly as Behind the Candelabra did, it might not have mattered, but the winners came from a huge spread of shows. Some of the surprise winners were beyond deserving—Nurse Jackie’s Merritt Wever, Veep’s Tony Hale, Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn—but some were not. Laura Linney beating Elisabeth Moss and Jessica Lange? Confounding. Jeff Daniels beating Bryan Cranston? A farce. As the show wrapped up, it was clear we all should have done like Merritt Wever—whose instantly legendary “Gotta go, bye” victory speech was the weirdest and best thing to happen all night—and left too soon, rather than stay up so late.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/54los1v3yqgyq This season, original coaches Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green are back, and they’re both looking for their first win on the show. Meanwhile, Blake Shelton (three time winner) and Adam Levine (Season 1 winner) will continue their run on the show. The Voice has been criticized for failing to immediately create superstars, but the show’s four previous winners have had at least some success following the show. Check out where they are now: Javier Colon After becoming the show’s first winner (on Team Adam) in June 2011, Javier released the album Come Through For You on Universal Records five months later. Despite a single featuring Natasha Bedingfield, the album didn’t garner much attention. He eventually parted ways with Universal, claiming that the label didn’t support his record. The singer is currently looking for another label to work with. Jermaine Paul Jermaine became Blake’s first winner when he took home the title in Season 2. He performed his first post-Voice single “I Believe In This Life” during a visit back to the show in November 2012, and although his album was supposed to be released in early 2013, we’re still waiting. The date on the official release is still pending. Cassadee Pope As a frontrunner from the beginning of Season 3, it was no surprise when Cassadee became the first female winner of the show, giving Blake his second win. She was crowned the winner in December 2012, and released her single “Wasting All These Tears” a few months later. The former Hey Monday singer then embarked on a summer tour opening up for the Rascal Flatts. Her album Frame by Frame is set for release in October. Danielle Bradbery At 16, Danielle became the youngest winner of The Voice, and made Blake a 3-peat title holder. In July, just one month after she won the show and was signed to Big Machine Records, she released her first single “Heart of Dixie.” She’s already performed multiple songs from her upcoming album, which is slated for a November release.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/qpg0b7k8wzf7a The Greek government asked judges on Thursday to move against Golden Dawn, saying it had evidence the far-right party was a criminal organization and a threat to public safety. The move comes two days after a self-proclaimed sympathizer of the party, Greece's third-most popular, admitted stabbing to death 34-year-old Greek rapper Pavlos Fissas, who was buried on Thursday. The seemingly politically motivated killing of Fissas, who performed anti-racist raps as Killah P, touched a nerve in Greece, where economic hardship has divided society, and rallies in several cities to mark his death turned violent on Wednesday. Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Dendias said in a publicly released letter to the country's top civilian court that the authorities had evidence that members of Golden Dawn were involved in a string of attacks over the past two years and asked prosecutors to take up the case. "This activity goes beyond isolated events ... it undermines the authority of law, infringes on human rights and human dignity, endangers public order and the security of the country," Dendias wrote. Authorities have received reports or were investigating 32 cases of violent attacks by members, officials at the ministry told reporters on condition of anonymity. The cases included four knife attacks on immigrants, one of which was fatal. Rights' groups have long accused the party of being linked to attacks on immigrants but this is the first time it would be investigated by a court, if it decides to take up the case. Greek police raided the party's Athens headquarters to look for evidence for the first time on Wednesday. Greece's coalition partners have quarreled for months over whether to ban Golden Dawn, which rose from obscurity to win 18 out of 300 seats in parliament last year, on a fiercely anti-immigrant and anti-corruption agenda. Several lawmakers have openly opposed a ban, saying it would boost its appeal and turn its members into martyrs. A step-by-step approach, beginning with the prosecution of individual members would be a more adequate way to deal with the party, government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou said on Thursday. "A simple ban will not do," he told Greek radio. TENSE FUNERAL In a tense atmosphere in an Athens cemetery, more than 2,000 mourners bid farewell to Fissas on Thursday. "Pigs! Fascists! Murderers!" mourners chanted as relatives carried Fissas's white coffin into a graveyard on a hill overlooking the working-class Keratsini suburb were he was stabbed. As others sang his songs, one man shouted: "Immortal!" Fissas was stabbed twice in the heart and chest on Tuesday night in a brawl after a soccer match shown in a cafe, having been ambushed by unknown assailants. A self-proclaimed supporter of Golden Dawn confessed to the killing. The 45-year-old, who has been pictured in Greek media with his arm around a Golden Dawn lawmaker, was due to appear before a prosecutor on Saturday. The party, whose emblem resembles a swastika, condemned the killing and denied involvement. It said those who accused the party were spreading "wretched calumnies" to win votes. Its members have been seen giving Nazi-style salutes but the party rejects the neo-Nazi label. "This is a witch hunt against Golden Dawn nationalists ... their dirty plans won't succeed," the party's leader Nikos Mihaloliakos, who has openly denied the Holocaust, said in a video posted on the party's website on Thursday. Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Thursday called for calm during what he said was an "extremely critical time" for Greece. "This government is determined to not allow descendents of Nazis to poison society, to commit crimes, to terrorize and to undermine the foundations of a country that gave birth to democracy," Samaras said in a televised address to the nation. Several rallies by anti-establishment groups and unions, which turned a 48-hour anti-austerity strike that began on Wednesday into a protest over his killing, were under way late on Thursday. Greece, the epicenter of the euro zone debt crisis, has been hit hard by years of deep recession brought on by tough austerity required by international lenders. On Athens' streets, talk was of Golden Dawn and austerity. "I hope the people who voted for them will wake up because now their own kids are in danger," said a 49-year-old resident who gave her name as Katerina. About 2,000 people gathered to protest at the killing in the working class Athens suburb of Nikaia late on Thursday, waving flags and banners reading: "We won't tolerate fascism".

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/rq2rbu3e38qt6 While filming her new drama "Goddess of Fire, Jeongi", a piece of equipment fell on Moon Geun Young's face, sending the actress to the hospital for emergency treatment. According to her agency, Namoo Actors, Young was sent to the emergency room because she began experiencing swelling in her eyes due to the accident. She rested for an entire day afterward to recover. While Young's on-set accident was only revealed today, the incident actually occurred on September 18. Namoo Actors did not give a reason why it didn't reveal the accident sooner. Representatives for the drama attribute the constant filming schedule and the grueling working conditions needed to keep up with production as reasons why the accident occurred. After a slight break in production, filming for the drama has resumed. The historical drama depicts the life and love of Yoo Jung, who is based on real-life 16th century historical figure Baek Pa-sun, renowned as the first female potter and porcelain artist in the Joseon Dynasty. Baek's glazing skills were so prized, she was appointed as a china maker for the royal family. But her fame also attracted the attention of foreign invaders, and during the Japanese invasion in 1592, she was among the Korean artisans captured and forcibly taken to Japan and made to continue their craft there. Under Toyotomi Hideyoshi's orders to enrich Japanese arts and culture, Baek helped the advancement of many new types of pottery that would be claimed as Japanese works of art. She became well-respected in Japan, and there exists a shrine in the city of Arita dedicated to her.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/d9keesd5g368p A Beverly Hills police officer has been accused of ogling the naked corpse of Whitney Houston after she was found drowned at her hotel. According to another officer at the scene, Detective Sergeant Terry Nutall "contaminated" and "mistreated" the body of the singer, removing a sheet that was being used to "preserve the dignity of the remains". In a formal complaint to the California labor department, Patrol Sergeant Brian Weir described his experiences on 11 February 2012, when he was the first officer to arrive at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Although Houston's assistant and bodyguard had already removed her from the bathtub where she died, Weir was the one to cover the body. Besides matters of privacy, he said he wanted "to prevent contamination or potential DNA and other potential evidence". Shortly thereafter, Weir claims, Nutall arrived. "For no legitimate law enforcement … purpose," Weir wrote, "[Nutall] knelt beside and leaned over the decedent, removed the sheet … to an area below the pubic region … and came in close proximity to touching the body of the decedent while making inappropriate comments … that the decedent 'looked attractive for a woman of her age and current state', and 'Damn, she's still looking good, huh?'" Nutall "treated the dead body … in a way that would outrage ordinary family sensibilities", Weir alleged. Nutall apparently also "moved the body of the decedent from the position of death without the permission of the coroner", "contaminating potential DNA" and "harming the integrity of the scene". In the days following this incident, Weir maintains he complained to his superiors and even to officials at the Beverly Hills government. But instead of punishing Nutall, officers such as Chief of Police David Snowden and Captain Toby Lee allegedly "retaliated" against Weir – harassing and ostracizing him, stripping him of his "coveted positions" on the Swat and K-9 squads, as well as denying him promotions, training and overtime pay. Meanwhile, Nutall was promoted to lieutenant. Weir is now seeking economic and non-economic damages, citing the affair's material impact on his career and the emotional stress he has sustained. But police spokesman Lincoln Hoshino denied there was "any inappropriate behaviour" at the scene, or that there has been any subsequent "retaliation" against Weir. "It is appropriate for a responding detective sergeant to briefly examine the body upon arriving to a scene like that," he said. "At this time we're not aware of any … inappropriate comments." In an autopsy report by the Los Angeles coroner's office, Houston's death was found to be an accidental drowning. "The effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use" were described as "contributing factors". She was 49. One of the most successful singers of all time, Houston sold more than 170m records over the course of her three-decade career.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/tdr518hclhimr The Kardashians have become such a household name that sometimes it’s easy to forget that the family had completely different lives before fame. For matriarch Kris Jenner, that includes a younger sister, Karen Houghton. In her memoir, Kris claims that she and Karen are part of each other’s lives to this day, but despite how often the mom of six is seen in public, it’s very rare to see her hanging out with her little sis. Through our investigation of Kris’ mysterious sister, Star uncovered two of Karen’s past relationships with men who have criminal records. “Karen’s relationships with such unsavory characters had to have been a sore spot with the Kardashian clan,” an insider tells us. “Karen means well, but bringing violent cons into their circle has made her a bit of a black sheep.” Kim Kardashian reportedly wants to "break away" from her TV show. The reality star and her family are the focus of hit programme Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Kim and her boyfriend Kanye West recently welcomed their first child, daughter North, into the world. Since becoming a mother it is thought the raven-haired beauty is keen to step back from the limelight and raise her daughter away from the camera. She is also reportedly planning to move to a secret location where she can't be filmed. "You won't be seeing North even once on the new season. Kim decided no way is she going to be part of this circus," a source told New York Daily News' Confidenti@l. "Kim doesn't want to film this show anymore. She's changing her image and breaking away from the family. She'll be moving into her house, but doesn't want the cameras inside her new house." Kim recently dropped her long-time publicist Jill Fritzo and replaced her with Ina Treciokas, who represents celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker. After Jill worked with Katie Holmes to help bring her into the fashion world, Kim apparently hopes she can undergo a similar transformation and break into the world of fashion. "With Ina, Kim's goal is to be transformed from a weekly magazine star to a monthly magazine star. She wants to be a fashion icon and off these weeklies that delve into her personal life. The one thing she wants more than anything is the cover of Vogue," the source added. This move is thought to have hurt her siblings and mother Kris, who has taken on lots of business and press-related work for the family. Season eight of Keeping Up with the Kardashians began in June and will continue through this month. It is also thought Kim's sister Khloé will be absent from the next series due to her troubled marriage to Lamar Odom and his alleged cocaine use.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/y0ms7nr71q9nm One way to shake up classical music awards? Host Kevin Hart stage-dives at 2012's MTV Video Music Awards. Classical music is not a glamorous industry. The pay is generally shit and almost always requires vigorous chasing. The people behind it are for the most part stuck in the 1930s and constitutionally incapable of connecting in any way with those born after 1960. The industry has been divided into sharks on the one hand (anything for a buck, even if it involves bastardizing the music to an unrecognizable degree) and the "purebloods" on the other - the Aryan race of the music world where this music is reserved for those who are intelligent and rarefied enough to understand it. Meanwhile, the presentation and pomp behind it is antiquated, offensive, shrouded in self-importance and irrelevant. But, rather than try and change things, like a chubby, entitled, picked-upon child it looks in all the wrong places to boost its self-esteem. Award ceremonies for the classical industry (industry, not listeners) must have sounded such a terrific idea on paper. Sadly, the mutual masturbatory back-slapping and sense of "better than" that is so rife amongst those who claim to enjoy Varèse and Xenakis only serves to provide the perfect means to further separate what is truly important about classical music from what is deemed as oxygen to those behind it. The Gramophone Awards are a case in point. First and foremost they need to be congratulated, hugely congratulated, for providing a counterpoint to the Classic Brit awards. I'm not even going to merit the Classic Brits with column inches other than to say I would rather commit to a career in clown porn than support them, and let you know that this year, alongside Alfie Boe and Katharine Jenkins, Richard Clayderman's album Romantique (seriously) is nominated for Album of the Year. And that it includes a Les Miserables medley and his own, inimitable transcription of You Raise Me Up. I wrote more about last year's ceremony here, but suffice to say, for those wanting to learn about classical music you would be better off sticking spikes in your ears and necking meths. Back to the Gramophone Awards. I love Gramophone Magazine. I am a subscriber and inevitably spend at least £50 every month on CDs after reading their recommendations. In much the same way as someone devoted to trains would go nuts at a Hornby store while clutching his (pristine) copy of Heritage Railway Magazine, I get off on reading about the latest Rachmaninov recording from (yet) another genius Russian pianist. It is Heat magazine for socially awkward classical music fans and nothing more. On the scale of worldly importance it ranks somewhere between peanut butter and Andrex moist wipes - it's rather lovely but by no means essential. Unlike the vile Brits, the Gramophones honour bona fide core-classical musicians – Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Steven Osborne, Antonio Pappano and others all won much-deserved awards this year. This is a great thing. If Osborne, Pappano et al were footballers they would be household names. But they're not. And, for all the ceremony and spiel, this industry is doing less than nothing to give them the status and recognition they deserve. There was no laughter beyond the occasional inside joke, awkwardly scripted, uptight acceptance speeches, not even the merest hint of inclusion for those who exist outside the classical music world. This was yet another awards ceremony about Self. Self-congratulation, self-celebration, self-importance, where music is kept as the property of a few individuals and yet another wall is erected between music and public. You would get more of a buzz watching a House of Commons webcam than watching last night's award ceremony, even if by some miracle it were televised. The problem with classical music is that the whole industry is so deeply ashamed of itself, so unremittingly apologetic for being involved with an art form seen as irrelevant, privileged and poncey, that it has gone to unfortunate extremes to over-compensate. Classical, as a genre, has become the musical equivalent of cranking (look it up). And if it didn't break my heart quite so much, I'd simply laugh and get back to practising my little upright piano. But the legacy it is leaving us and the price we all will pay for this is too distressing to ignore. EM Forster wrote that a Beethoven symphony was "the most sublime noise that has ever penetrated the ear of man". Goethe called architecture "frozen music". Classical music has been around for centuries because it has an unceasing, infallible and soul-shattering ability to take all of us on a journey of self-discovery and improvement in a world where most other means of doing so seem to involve either Simon Cowell or Deepak Chopra. It is a right, not a luxury, and, at the risk of sounding like a haughty middle-class mother at a children's birthday party, the industry behind it is ruining it for the rest of us. The impotent bleating about reaching younger audiences, the evident pride Classic FM takes in playing a 12-minute-long piece of music ("our big piece after 6pm"), the endless movie themed "classical" shows on radio, the total and utter segregation of classical music on TV, radio and press, the inevitable Halls of Fame, compilation best of box-sets, Tchaikovsky 1812 overtures - with cannon and mortar effects (war veterans stay away) all chip away relentlessly at the underlying fabric of what makes classical music so infinite and great.

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/vupu2bm1rn2yx Sandra Bullock will only take a role if the set is baby proofed. The 49-year-old says motherhood comes first, and she can’t focus if there is even a chance of something hurting her three-year-old son. So when she was offered the role in Gravity she agreed – on the condition they take care of Louis. "I can't selfishly take journeys anymore because I have to take a little boy along with me," Sandra explained at a Los Angeles press junket. "I said... make it so I'm not somewhere not paying attention because I'm so worried about, 'Where is he' Is he having fun' Is this a good life experience''” Sandra told producers if they wanted her, they had to make it “an amazing experience” for her toddler. Luckily for the actress, the entire cast and crew went out of their way to make sure the adorable little boy was well taken care of. "[Producer] David [Heyman] turned a back lot of a sound stage in rainy London into a wonderland for a one-and-a-half-year-old," Sandra revealed. "Everything was bumper guarded! People go, 'What is that'' And I go, 'That is to protect a child's head! All of it!'" In Gravity, Sandra’s character loses a child. This made having Louis close to her every day even more important. "I kept having to say, 'What would I do [if I lost a child]'' and I realized I might be far worse off than she is," said the actress. "You just have to go there and know at the end of the day, you can unplug and go home and do something a lot of... people who were parents can't."

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/kcsvqcci8atry Starbucks chairman Howard Schultz said the company's 'open-carry' policy had been hijacked on both sides of the gun control debate. Starbucks has reversed its stance on customers carrying guns into its US stores, calling on them to leave them at home instead. The coffee chain's chief executive, Howard Schultz, requested on Tuesday that the coffee chain's customers leave their firearms at home, shifting company policy amid an increasingly fractious debate over US gun rights in the wake of multiple mass shootings. The request was made in part because more people had been bringing guns into Starbucks over the last six months, prompting confusion and dismay among some patrons and employees, Schultz said. In an open letter to customers issued late on Tuesday, he said: "Our stores exist to give every customer a safe and comfortable respite from the concerns of daily life." Starbucks' longstanding policy had been to default to local gun laws, including "open carry" regulations that allow people to bring guns into stores. It has nearly 7,000 company-operated US stores. That policy had frustrated US gun-control advocates, who have persuaded many other restaurants and retailers to ban weapons in their stores and worked hard to get Starbucks to follow suit. Schultz underscored that Starbucks' new policy is not a ban – employees will continue to serve patrons with guns. The request also does not apply to authorized law enforcement personnel. "I don't want to put our people in a position of having to confront or enforce a policy [when] someone is holding a gun," Schultz said. The Seattle-based company's request that customers not bring visible or concealed guns into stores and outdoor seating areas likely will anger guns-rights advocates, who in August held a national Starbucks Appreciation Day to thank the company for its stance at that time. Locations for those events included the Starbucks in Newtown, Connecticut – the town where 20 children and six educators were shot to death in an elementary school in December. Starbucks closed that shop before the event was scheduled to begin. Schultz said the Starbucks Appreciation Day events "disingenuously portray Starbucks as a champion of 'open carry.' To be clear: we do not want these events in our stores," he said in the open letter. Schultz said the policy change was not the result of that event, which prompted the Newtown Action Alliance to call on Schultz to ban guns at all of the company's US stores. Nor was it in response to the mass shootings this week at the Washington navy yard. "We've seen the 'open carry' debate become increasingly uncivil and, in some cases, even threatening," Schultz wrote, noting that "some anti-gun activists have also played a role in ratcheting up the rhetoric and friction", at times soliciting and confronting employees and patrons. He told Reuters: "We found ourselves in a position where advocates on both sides of the issue were using Starbucks as a staging ground for their own political position. "I'm not worried we're going to lose customers over this," Schultz said, noting he and others at Starbucks considered the concerns of customers, employees and investors. "I feel like I've made the best decision in the interest of our company."

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/xluxdffltlptv What could possibly be the reason behind Gwyneth Paltrow’s refusal to interview with Vanity Fair? News broke last week that the actress allegedly wrote an e-mail to friends, warning them to decline if the respected magazine asked for any quotes about her. Now, her inner circle is starting to wonder what story she’s so hell-bent on preventing from getting out. A potential sore spot for the 40-year-old is her marriage to Chris Martin, especially considering the fact that the couple is rarely seen photographed together. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time she’s been accused of infidelity — it was rumored that she cheated on then-fiance Brad Pitt in 1997, as well as former beau Ben Affleck. Recently, Star began an investigation on Gwyneth to dig deeper into reported claims of an affair, and she and her legal team immediately went on the defense. Gwyneth Paltrow empathises with sex addicts because it’s a “painful and shameful” disease. The Oscar-winning actress stars as the girlfriend of a recovering sex addict, played by Mark Ruffalo, in Stuart Blumberg comedy drama Thanks for Sharing. She sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the taboo topic. “I think it’s very much a real condition, disease, that people have,” Gwyneth said, revealing she has second-hand knowledge of dealing with sex addiction. “I’ve known a few and it’s very painful and a shameful thing for people. In some ways if you say you’re an alcoholic it’s more socially acceptable somehow but sex addiction is full of shame.” Although Gwyneth, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, doesn’t suffer from the problem, she does have her own vices. The star insists, however, she’s good about setting limits. “I love a martini. Not every day though – not in the morning!” she mused. Gwyneth said she had a wonderful time working on the production. The actress was thrilled when the project got started and she hopes audiences will agree that the director tackled a difficult subject matter in a meaningful way. “You know, I love movies like this where you get a sense of the complication in people,” she explained, “and I love the tone of really funny and really moving at the same time.” Thanks for Sharing is scheduled for US release September 20

*Warning:PIRATE RADIO presentation* http://www.divxstage.eu/video/8uwhklf7nws5z Zac Efron allegedly entered rehab for cocaine abuse. Yesterday reports emerged that the former High School Musical star had completed a stint in a facility due to alcohol addiction. However, TMZ now claims Zac had a "serious" cocaine problem. According to the website, the 25-year-old's addiction spiralled out of control while he was filming Seth Rogen's Neighbors during a short space of time from April. "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine," a source said, adding that Zac was a "no-show" on a few days. An insider also told TMZ that the actor "dabbled" with Molly, a pure form of ecstasy that is frequently found in clubs and at raves. Zac and some pals are also said to have engaged in a cocaine "rager" at the SkyLofts at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The group reportedly caused around $50,000 in damage, but it's unsure who paid. TMZ contacted a representative for Zac, who did not respond. E! News broke the story of the star's alleged rehab stint, claiming he kept an alcohol problem under wraps and quietly checked himself in five months ago. "He's healthy, happy and not drinking," one source told the publication. "He's taking time to focus on working." Zac recently appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of Parkland. The flick is about the three days surrounding John F Kennedy's death in Dallas, Texas, and hits cinemas next month.
