Showreel
In my show reel I have tried to add a as wide range of work as possible. However I do believe this could have been better. The reason I say this is because I have done a wider range of work than is shown in here for example graphic design and illustration soundesign and video editing. However a lot of those pieces of work especially video I am not happy with anymore. I could not bee fixed because large part of these pieces was live video footage which I can't repeat now. Therefore what I've done is I've tried to collect as wind range of work as possible from the project I am happy with and even though it doesn't showcase all of the skills or areas that I've worked in I do believe it is to a better standard Then it would be if I tried to include all of the projects and areas I worked in however not in a high-quality work.
I've also decided to make it just over 30 seconds because I feel like even though I have more work to show it feels repetitive for example including more minutes from the multicam dance production or from Worcestershire Royal Hospital motion graphics even though it is to a good standard looking at it in one video gets repetitive.

Social media presence & self branding
Following up from last semester I have developed myself branding further.
I have gained a number of transferable skills throughout the course and all the activities I've done alongside my course. I believe that practical skills in the field and software knowledge will be utilised in my future career so I have decided not to include motion graphics into my logo even though this is the area that I would like to work and I also have skills in video editing sound design graphic design and I have also now started to explore digital marketing animation and illustration alongside my course. As well as this the cause and other activities have provided me with development in communication attention to detail networking self-discipline and time management which will be useful in the future.
I started with the logo and then followed up with a business card mockup design. Compared to last semester I have completely walked away from my logo idea. I have decided not to limit myself to one area. Instead I went for a more general design I took my initials and kept my Lithuanian letter in my surname as I think that adds a little bit more personality and originality to my logo. For the colour scheme I have picked three colours I went for something I like but also for something that easily catches the eye. Orange and blue are very contradictory colours however I do think it goes really well together.
For my social media I've created Instagram and LinkedIn profiles. As research I have done last semester suggests LinkedIn is one of the best websites to have in terms of jobhunting. Instagram is a very visual content-based platform therefore I've decided to go for a profile there and it has a lot of users from different age groups.Including individual people businesses companies etc.
Also carrying on from the research I've done last semester on platforms that are best to create an online portfolio I've chosen Behance and started to build a pro folio there. As well as being a popular platform I've also noticed other benefits. Because I am paying for Adobe creative cloud I am able to access the pro version for free which allows me to mention software or materials I have used for each project which I think it's useful because for potential clients it allows them to see my set of skills and what software I am most comfortable working with.
All of this still needs a lot of work however I do think this is a good start. My plan from now on is to post more regularly on Instagram which helps to build followers. Create more projects to add to my portfolio. And I am also considering creating a tik-tok account as current data suggests one of the most popular platforms. I haven't had a chance to do that yet as every project to be posted on there needs to be created in a different format to play well on different mobile devices and fit the screen.

Mockups
Following on the idea I've done some mock ups.
However, according to the feedback from everyone people weren't really happy with this as a lot of them were saying that this isn't really us.I do agree and I think one of the biggest downside in this is the fact that we couldn't take new photos of everyone and had to use the ones from last semester. These are simple straight onto the camera shots but the animation could've really benefited from images in some sort of angle to reveal more details or just have a more interesting look. Also I have found that it's quite difficult to do this in a way that each person is actually recognisable. Adding the photo behind just didn't work.
Following on the feedback I've created some more versions of these animations disregarding the neon line face idea as we all agreed it doesn't work.
After speaking with everyone we have agreed that the best version is to have an image of us without the glow around us in colour. Also we have decided that what we specialise in is unnecessary as not everyone specialises in one field or does more than one thing so we didn't want to limit ourselves and our potential clients. I have also decided to add a reflection from the sign on our picture as I believe it makes it more interesting and more realistic as these images were the only thing I could work with.I think it would've been quite interesting if we would've had the chance to use film shots instead of stills however because we didn't have such an opportunity I think this worked quite well.

Idea and moodboards
I’m responsible for bio animations together with Anastasio. We brainstormed and discussed some ideas and decided that it would be interesting to create neon outlines to peoples faces. I’ve done some mmodboars to help me visualise how it could look like.
We have decided on two colours so not all of these examples apply but it is still useful. I’ve done some mock up on how it could look.
i’ve looked into some tutorials to determine whether this is doable in the time we have for every person in the course. In conclusion we decided that it is and developed this idea.

For the interim show, I was responsible for showreels. I think the biggest challenges were deciding whether the work is good-quality enough to go on a showreel. There was only two of us working on it so the teamwork and planning went pretty well. There were some pieces of work that we decided to not add to the showreels because of the quality. The length of each showreel was quite challenging as well. There was a fair number of showreels that needed to be included so it was hard to decide how long each one should be. We had to make sure that the main full showreel is not too long for the viewer to lose attention. We decided on 15 seconds eventually thinking that it will bring us to 5 minutes or less of the full showreel Another challenge here was that some people wanted to create their own showreels and some people weren’t sure what they wanted to include in them so it was hard to decide which pieces of work goes on the showreel if people have given us sufficient amount of work for the 15 seconds. After having everyone’s showreels made we had to decide on transitions. Initially, we thought it would be nice to do transitions like opening laptop, flashing camera and picture frames, but then while working on the showreel we realised that it’s going to be too long and it’s unnecessary therefore we decided to use snippets from the main promotional video at the beginning of each person's showreel so that they can be recognised. Then follow up with each person's cup design that was the main focus of the interim show. For transitions inside of the personal showreels, we decided to use simple opacity and movement changes as the person’s work is more important than the transition and it shouldn’t be overwhelming. Therefore it didn’t require new knowledge in after-effects for me. For the sound, we used the main song that was used the promotional video and I think it worked really nice some of the transitions have lined up with the musical change. If I were to do it again I think the only thing I would change is, when the promotional video was made I would ask the video team to take a video of each person a little bit longer so there are extra seconds in the showreels to freeze the frame.

Final design
For my final cup design I’ve taken inspiration from the coffee shop itself, it feels industrial and almost unfinished and chaotic that’s why my final design was graffiti, my aim was to create a liquid impression
After the meeting with the client, their feedback was to incorporate the moto into the design. And I felt like they like the design, so I didn’t want to change drastically I chose just to delete the middle and redraw the pathways the graffiti is connected creating them swirl in the middle

Waylands yard concepts
When thinking about my cup designs I made a mood board to get inspiration.
I looked into geometric patterns, graffiti hipster style and caricatures, which then gave me ideas for my own designs. With the caricature concept design, I wanted to reflect on their moto, by having a person on the cup design for the three words - coffee, food and people. The geometric design was all about the look and feel of the coffee shop and their brand identity, rough and blocky shapes. In this concept design, I could have incorporated the typography into the design. If I were to do it again instead of adding an extra shape on top to for the text I would incorporate the text into the shapes.

Looking into Waylands Yard website I’ve noticed that they stick to the brand colours keep a clean look with whitespace and navigation of the website is simple. Their chosen design and typography is more of a blocky style then fluid and handwritten however they use inconsistent typefaces. The navigation in the main page is good, but in some other pages, other pages the main menu links merge with the design and are hard to see. There are two logos and seem to use both of them. Trying to keep a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the website articles and language sound casual but still professional. The social media presence is consistent, they don’t seem to have unrelated content.

Portfolio platforms
I looked into different platforms to create a digital portfolio.
Behance
It’s easy to signup and has a clean look, whitespace. It displays your work in series so looking at the portfolio it’s easy to navigate and works well for showing development work as well as the final product because everything will be kept as one post. It doesn’t require a lot of time for creating the desired look of your work. It also can act as a networking platform, job adverts can be found here, other people can comment on your work and give feedback, you can also follow other people It’s also free
https://www.behance.net/spencerharrison https://www.behance.net/kindredstudio https://www.behance.net/saxoncampbell https://www.behance.net/shantisparrowdesign https://www.behance.net/EmmaTalbot
Adobe portfolio Easy to use and customise. There is a possibility to change layouts, your domain and your name, choose a different typeface from a library. I would say this is not the platform if you want something very personal and exceptional as your website look not only work. But it does the job well and when paying for Adobe creative cloud is free. It also can be synced with Behance
https://antoinettescott.myportfolio.com/ https://kriziachan.com/ https://madsberg.dk/ https://2013nings.com/ https://goncaloviana.com/
WordPress/Wix It’s easy-to-use and offers loads of different themes and layouts with customisable features to personalise your portfolio. Doesn’t require HTML or CSS knowledge to be able to build a website however, has the feature to be able to do it if you wanted. It also incorporates SEO which is really important as it allows for other people easily find your website in Google or other platforms if done well possibly even on the first page which means your portfolio or is seen more and it’s a better chance together job offer

Square space Similar to Behance but offers a selection of templates, therefore, making the portfolio more personalised. It has a big selection of fonts to choose from google fonts are included. You can track your audience. The cost is £10 per month for personal use and £15 pounds for a month for the business.

Video CV/resume
I would like to have an alternative a resume to a regular written version. I think a video would be quite nice. That would also give me an opportunity to build a stronger brand identity as I will be using my chosen brand colours typeface etc. As well as that because I’d like to focus on motion graphics it could act as an additional piece of work alongside my portfolio to showcase my motion graphic skills. I’ve looked into some examples below and I think I would try to keep it as short as possible for example from 30 seconds to a minute and make it as interesting and varied as possible so that it easier to keep interests. I am not sure about the sound part of it. Especially the voice-over. In some resumes the voice-over on top feels like a very commercialised piece of work which then when applying for a job might not feel been made to apply for a this this job specifically. For the music and I think it’s very important and that the music doesn’t sound annoying and doesn’t speak louder than the actual content of the video. I would also have to think about building video resume in a way that it would be easy to change elements in it or small my pieces of work because applying free job it’s important to make an impression that a lot of effort has been put into this application.
I think the way I would do it is build it in after effects and create a separate composition for each piece of work and make sure that it has the same brand identity. And that way when something needs to get change its easy to swap places and you can just make the pieces that you don’t want to show for this application invisible.

Business cards, boodboards, colour ideas
Looking into examples of business cards I thought that it would be nice to have something different than just a regular card. For example, I really liked a few ideas above in Pinterest mood-board like for cheese business cheese grater for business cards our yoga mat for yoga real wind stills for the wine business.
Realised I need to look into what branding colours I will choose, and I would personally go for orange or other warm colours like yellow or red. I’m quite tempted to have a contrasting colour combination like orange and blue or orange and green. Maybe it would be cool to have a photo-based a clean looking or illustration based Business card
I did some mockup of what my logo could look like. This is not final. The thought behind this was that I would like to work with motion graphics and a lot of motion graphics are essentially moving shapes, so I wanted to reflect on that.
