What is CBD ?
Cannabidiol (CBD) – what is this ?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical in the Cannabis Sativa plant, also known as cannabis or hemp. Besides cbd, Cannabis Sativa plant contains other components: over 80 chemicals known as cannabinoids.
The most famous ingredient in cannabis is Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is known for its psychotropic effect.
But Cannabidiol (CBD) contains a small amounts of THC (< 0.2- 0.3%) and does not have a psychotropic effect.
Cannabidiol (CBD) has a healing effect and is used for medical purposes.
A prescription form of CBD is used for seizure disorder (epilepsy). CBD is also used for anxiety, pain, a muscle disorder called dystonia, Parkinson disease, Crohn disease, and many other conditions.
