If you were wondering, no, I have not read Homestuck. I don’t even know what the plot is. I just hear a lot of people on here mention it every so often, with a somewhat vaguely reluctant tone.

I am aware that, functionally, there is no difference. But it matters in my heart. And let’s be honest, it matters in your heart too.

This suddenly became relevant. Sorta.

I’ve noticed that, for a lot of polls with a “nuance (explain in tags)” option in the lead, the post has far less notes than people voting for the nuance option. Which tells me a lot of people have a more nuanced opinion but don’t care enough to explain it.

So now, I’m curious.

If you choose “nuance” and don’t reblog or comment, you’re totally valid and that’s something that’s okay to do. You don’t owe anyone anything! :3

As I was typing up another poll, giving my thoughts on stuff and whatnot, I was curious.

There’s too many possible reasons for me to list. Feel free to give your take in the tags or comments!

I usually vote on my own polls, because I like to track the results over time. But sometimes, I also don’t want to skew the results, such as if it’ll have an impact on my decisions and likely won’t get many votes.

A lot of polls have a “creator button” or an option to just show results. Depending on the poll, I’ll include an “n/a / show results” option, but not always. So I’m curious.
