We’ve bought a new house. And our new next door neighbours (two delightful gentlemen) will not stop being nice. 

- bought us a seagull proof refuse bag (yes, they are actual things)

- loaned us garden tools when we didn’t have any

- invited us around for Friday night drinks so we could meet the other people on the lane

- one of them brought me a bunch of sweetpea flowers that he’d picked from his garden

- and tomorrow he’s coming to cut our hedge for us with his electric hedge trimmer thing idk, and all I have to do is hold the ladder.

Basically, I am UNSETTLED and am now having to enter into an arms race of niceness and I am already so behind oh god.

Long story short - I just baked a lemon drizzle cake, and it looks great but I can’t even eat it because MR AND MR NICE MUST RECEIVE AN OFFERING.

Witch Tip

Fruit or herb infused water (making sure you’re using safe and edible ones, of course) can be a great way to have a magical boost for the day

Like, imagine if you want a little help when job hunting

Toss some sliced strawberries (luck), sliced oranges (luck, employment, money), and mint (knowledge, employment) into a container (bottle, thermos, even a pitcher) and let it sit in the fridge overnight

Voila, you have infused water tailored to your need and intent. Plus, for other witches who need to keep things hidden, it’s healthy and popular so most people wouldn’t question it too much

High Protection Winter Tea

This is a magical tea to fight freezing cold, germs and dark thoughts!

Ingredients:

3 big pieces of fresh ginger (cut into thin slices) 5 teaspoons of honey*  1 squeezed lemon juice ½ squeezed orange juice 1 teaspoon of loose dried thyme leaves 1 handful of fresh rosemary 1 pints of water (filtered!)

*All organic honey brands are of a high quality. My favorite honey is chestnut honey, mainly for its intense nutty flavor that I particularly enjoy but also because it actually helps blood flow. This really works!

Heat water (don’t boil it). Add the ginger slices and the rosemary. Let the mixture infuse during 5 minutes and strain. Add the lemon and the orange juices. Heat it a tiny little bit (but don’t boil!) so that the juices don’t make it colder. Add the honey and mix. Keep the tea in a thermos bottle and drink two to three mugs a day.
