Was literally thinking this the other day after I binge-watched “School Spirits” while sick. Ended up with a fever dream wherein I was Hetty, but for some reason Woodstone mansion was also my old high school and Trevor was telling me about how we had a huge test in a class I had forgotten to attend all semester. Then I forgot my locker combo.

Ghosts + School Spirits + a fever = A really weird “I’m back in high school” anxiety dream 😂

Do you think School Spirits and Ghost's could be in the same universe? They're both ghost tied to the place the died, who have no idea how to cross over, and some people can see them. Now I want a Ghost × School Spirits cross over.

Hetty & Trevor & Escarghost | Ghosts 4x06

With my final piece of evidence I aim to end this once and for all . Look at those little cuties, pay close attention to how she had to TURN her hand which by the way is BEHIND his, and his fingers weren’t in view until AFTER we could CLEARLY see that their hands were separated. This can only mean one thing, they are in love and holding hands your honor. CASE CLOSED!

Me. I’m writing the drama fanfic. All I did was switch it to make Trevor the main POV protagonist and focus a bit more on some symbolism, motifs, and foreshadowing keeping such things going to fit their standard narrative plot points. Seems Trevor & Hetty are wandering around Woodstone in a Gothic Supernatural/Mythological drama with a bunch of basement & underground ghosts (and possibly Sas), while everyone else is in a fuzzy family sitcom 🤣

Also, it’s somehow way too eerily aligning with Hadestown. Not just the Orpheus/Eurydice motif (which is extremely present), but specifically “Hadestown”. The whole Underground ‘others’ and also the contract? And about 900 other things I sited that I’ll post later when my brain lets me organize my thoughts.

But yeah, guess that’s why we seem to be missing so much H$ stuff this season; they’re off in a totally different genre 🤷‍♀���

The thing about Ghosts is that it plays like fan fiction. In another world it's a drama and we're all on here writing the silly plot lines about ghosts dating and using their powers for hijinks and fun.

I finally did sum Ghosts fanart! I've been loving this show, and LOVED the idea of these three babysitting Hetty!! ( Absolutely the worst trio to be responsible of a child xdd )

It's probably too much to ask, but I want an episode kind of like Trevor's Pants, but somehow they meet the ghost of a household employee Hetty didn't personally resent, and this new person is like "Hetty had a weird cocaine obsession but was actually a pretty nice boss". Then Hetty is like, "No, no, I'm cruel and merciless! Fear me!", and she tries to prove to everyone she really was a merciless tyrant.

I’m actually worried about this too, especially since if seems like he hasn’t been in a lot of the behind the scenes photos lately. However, I think it’s more likely just creating some conflict between Trevor and Thor, which could be interesting seeing how Trevor and Thor are roommates and it was confirmed tonight that Hetty & Flower are still rooming together as well. Past episodes have always paralleled those two couples, (something I’ll go into in more depth in another post). This was especially clear in “Holes Are Bad”.

Ghosts S4 - Some thoughts (spoilers)

First off, I missed this misfit-found family 🥲

Hetty was Hetty-ing. Flower was Flower-ing. Pete was Pete-ing (and making use of his power!)

I was surprised that they didn't drag out the lost-in-the-dirt storyline, but honestly, I think it may be for the best. When shows drag out an obvious point of conflict or drama it can get boring fast. I think the real value is exploring the new dynamic between Patience and the rest of the ghosts. So I'm excited to see how things go!

The thing that left my brain buzzing the most from this episode was Trevor. They continually brought up how he was weak or getting weaker. He wasn't able to push the TV remote very well. Thor made fun of his legs and said they were getting weaker. And, while this may have been a little side plot/joke for the episode, the show has done a great job in the past in bringing up little details and returning to them. So this thing with Trevor left me feeling a little uneasy.

What if Trevor is weakening? We know his ghost power. We know how he died. We also know that he has taken great steps toward showing he is a great person. (Episodes with his family, with Bela and with Hetty and, of course, the episode telling where he died.) What if Trevor has an over-arching plot where he is weakening as a ghost and gets sucked off? (I had a neat little fic idea that explored a similar idea (but just haven't had time to write it lol)).

Now I need to go back and pause on the opening title card to see what Easter eggs are in store for the season. 🔍

To every new person in the Greek myth fandom who shits on Athena because of what she did to Medusa....

Can y'all like..... Idk maybe NOT take Ovid's Metamorphoses as your ONLY source of Medusa's origin story?? (Furthermore that version isn't Greek either, it's Roman. So it's not Athena anyway, it's Minerva in that case).

And maybe like... Idk look at the GREEK myths (where Medusa didn't HAVE a traumatic backstory) that PRECEDE Ovid's version?? Would really not hurt you to look at and/or consider more than just one interpretation of the story.

PS: This is NOT to say that you CAN'T consider Ovid's version at all. You can, but atleast don't consider only THAT version to be canon. Cuz it's not. Myths like this don't follow a linear path. They are branched into several different versions. And cherry-picking only one of them while actively pretending the other versions don't exist at all is not gonna help you in your theological development.
