x: (simple eyes)(six each side of the head) is definitely one of those parasite stories. She,
who usually works with documentation of particular places gathered from her own
observations, reconstructs an event that we can barely describe as such, solely on the
collection of third-hand information and visuals without actually seeing the location before.
Reinterpreting the given data, and merging it with found facts, she tries to integrate it into
reality through a physical setup, one could read as a memorial of a past event.

y: In the square in front of Galerija Novaβs project space is a concrete flower bed. Except for
the big chestnut tree, it is the only designated place for very curated nature to establish itself.
Recently a particular situation - the invasion of box tree moths, disrupted the order of that
small ecosystem and due to the parasites, everything grown had to be uprooted. The event
opened up a space for fiction, creating a site of guessing and new possibilities.

x: Through fiction new myths, new dream worlds, and perhaps even possible (new) futures
can invent themselves and at the same time fiction allows us to reflect on the structures and
agendas of our everyday lives. Scheibe gives us a provisional definition of fiction as βa lie
revealing itself as a lieβ, but told in a particular context it can have Λdazzling, confusing, and
deeply seductiveΛ effects. Engaging in a fictional narrative, the exhibited project marks a
territory of occurred and establishes hearsay about the life and death of a caterpillar colony
in the real space and time, inserting the ambiguous event in the history of a planter.

y: In this version of the story we can begin with a walnut tree. It is a deciduous tree common
to different parts of the world. It blooms from April to May, producing longitudinal puffy
shapes blossoms perfect objects for a make-believe play. Younger children are picking them
up and engaging in an imagination activity, pretending they are caterpillars. Their vivid
imagination enables them to bring the blossom insect to life. Caterpillars start wiggling and
moving in their small palms. Some kids are only collecting them, some are chasing the
others, who are screaming and laughing in disgust while running away, all of them absolutely
immersed in the play.

participate in the game of make-believe. The chosen object serves as an entering point for a
completely new world, a never-ending space of possibilities and adventures.

"Many animals feed on caterpillars as they are rich in protein. As a result, caterpillars have evolved various means of defense.
Many feed in protected environments, such as enclosed inside silk galleries, rolled leaves or by mining between the leaf surfaces.
Some caterpillars can evade predators by using a silk line and dropping off from branches when disturbed.
The chemicals are also carried on into the adult stages.
One species (Amorpha juglandis) even makes high pitched whistles that can scare away birds."
