okay i love being on reddit i love seeing other peoples ideas. completely unrelated, let me just say: I don't think there's a single thing wrong with Rapunzel wanting to wait to get married. There's nothing disrespectful or devaluing in Rapunzel's hesitancy, full stop. Nobody needs to justify their rejection of a marriage proposal.
...and even if they did, Rapunzel has the best reason? Girlie wins the award for Complicated Relationship Surrounding The Ideas Of Love And Family. It's OKAY if she wants to process the idea a little bit before jumping into making commitments!!! I do not blame her in the slightest for feeling panicky and claustrophobic about the idea!!!!
AND. Two years or so LITERALLY isn't even that long of a time! and if I RECALL CORRECTLY we were PRETTY FUCKING BUSYYYYYY during that period of time. went by in the blink of an eye. really not a difficult wait at all.
So let the record show. I would wait A THOUSAND YEARS for Rapunzel to feel ready and if she NEVER felt ready I would be honored to stand by her side throughout it all. Anything that implies otherwise is CHARACTER ASSASSINATION and I will not STAND FOR IT
