I've found an article about this! You can read it here if you ever so desire. Before posting this reblog, I also found this. It's another cool article you can read. These rituals seem more of a northern America thing.

Snow day traditions are so, so weird... - to force a snow day (assuming weather conditions are at least mildly snowy), one must

wear their pajamas backward (in some places, they have to be inside out. The kids in my school system believe that they have to be backward - I'm not sure how regional this is.)

put a spoon under their pillow (in some places, it must be a wooden spoon - tradition where I live is any spoon.)

flush ice down the toilet

Excuse me? How?! Why?! Where did these traditions originate? Is this just an American thing? I don't have any starting point for research and I am FREAKING OUT I want to write an essay on this SO BAD

Folks: you CANNOT censor trigger tags. When you block a tag, it doesn't block other "spellings" of it. Writing it as "r@pe" or "r4p3" means that someone who has "tw rape" as a blocked tag will still see that post because you didn't wanna say the word rape. You are hurting people. Do not censor words, because people do not have those filtered out.

And honestly if you can't even write the word rape to protect other people then you probably aren't old/mature enough to be on this website.
