*waves* Hi everyone!

Yes, it’s been too long. Yes, once again I said I wanted to revitalize the blog and failed epically. But this weekend I thought I’d resurrect something that I’ve done a couple times and really enjoyed: 

FIC SPOTLIGHT!

I have a couple fics lined up, of varied lengths. Depending on the length of the fic it may be one quote a day, it may be multiple. I’m going to aim for 1-2 fics a month. How’s that sound? Good? Good. And I don’t want to focus solely on single fics, guys.

So again, I implore everyone who might still be paying attention: SEND ME SUGGESTIONS. Fics, quotes, theme days. Anything.

I firmly believe that fic will keep this fandom going as long as authors keep writing and readers keep reading. And I see that happening for a long time to come.

Thanks to a slightly crazy personal life I can’t devote a ton of time to this blog (if you didn’t figure that out by now, thanks to my unintentional mini-hiatuses), probably a few hours a week. But I want to pack those hours with FIC! And by fic, I mean queuing up quotes. My goal is to become more consistent. (Again. I know, broken record.)

Fic Spotlight

After a several week break in which I’ve been focusing on school and my own writing, I’m resurrecting the Fic Spotlight!

The next week will feature quotes from one of my favorites, A One and Done Kind of Girl by InkyCoffee and AnnieXM (aka Bec, I can’t find a page or profile for her, sorry!). It’s a 6x23 AU in which Caskett discovers a surprising truth about Kate Beckett’s unknown previous marriage.

I love this whole fic; it’s a fun exploration of a weekend in Vegas, and the repercussions that they face years later.

#SAVECASKETT CAMPAIGN

There are few things more integral to the Castle and Beckett relationship than coffee. From the very first time he brought her a grade skim latte with two pumps sugar free vanilla to now, coffee has played an integral role in their love story. We’ve watched them drink cup after cup, falling a little more in love with each sip. 

Now it’s time we take our love the them and their love coffee to the next level. How? By sending coffee sleeves marked with Castle quotes and slogan to ABC’s California offices, reminding them that a world without both Castle and Beckett simply does not make sense. 

You can buy multi-packs of blank coffee sleeves on Amazong (1, 2, 3). You could go to your local coffee house and slip a few in your pocket. You could also just send in the sleeve off your morning coffee.

This will work best if our messages are short, coherent, and positive. No threats, no demands to cancel the show. Just a coordinated effort to show ABC what we fans now - Beckett and Castle deserve their always.
