To all of the Wayward Sisters-

I think the decision not to make Wayward Sisters a reality is heartbreaking. For all the Supernatural fans that have wanted this, and supported it for so long, including me, it’s disappointing to say the least. It was more than just a show to us. It gave us all something to hope for and look forward to. Supernatural already has one of the largest, most caring fandoms. We didn’t know how it would turn out, but it was so much more than just an idea. Kim, Brianna, Kathryn and all of the cast members are such amazing supporting characters and we wanted them to be more than that. Wayward Sisters would be such a big deal because, not only is it empowering these women, it’s giving the viewers a home. For me, a teenager who doesn’t fit very well into society, it gave me something bigger than that. Wayward Sisters isn’t just a show. Its hope, its family, and its home. Somewhere we’d belong.  It also shows us that, even through the most crucial, and tough times, there is a way to overcome it, through family, even when it doesn’t end with blood.  These characters are an army, with or without the Winchesters. They deserve a story, and we deserve to experience it. A lot of us know what it feels like to be different than what society dubs “Correct” or “Acceptable”. And this show, even though it barely started, it made us feel acceptable. And if that’s not good enough to be picked up, then what is? It’s impossible to fathom the fact that the possibility just…left. It’s unfair, but we shouldn’t give up! We know what it’s like to be let down, but we also know that if we always keep fighting, something good could happen. And even though the show may not make it, the fandom will. Wayward Sisters has already become more than a spin-off. It’s a movement in itself. Yeah, I get that it’s cool that they fight monsters and save people, but what’s even better, is the community and sanctuary they’ve created for themselves, and us! Some of us know what it feels like to lose a friend, a father, a child, even ourselves, but with this show, it proves that we can still find family and friends in each other, blood or not. And we can overcome the odds with the love and hope that they prove is possible. We can see it through Claire, we can see it through Jody and Alex, and in turn, we see that it’s possible for us. And that’s what brings us together, not only will we stand to support the show, we’ll find solace in it! As I said before, this show is hope. And its trust and it’s all of the things that a lot of people live without. There’s love beyond measure in this fandom, in the movement itself and all I can do is hope that something changes and that we can see the show become reality. If you want this show to happen, spread the word! We deserve it, and so does everyone who needs a little light in their world, with or without having watched Supernatural. It will reach the hearts of everyone if only they’d give it a chance! If Claire, Patience, Donna and all the other wonderful characters can come together and defy the world’s standards, so can we. So can this show. It’s been a long time in the making. Please, let’s make it happen.

And even if it doesn’t, all of the wayward girls and guys will still support each other, the fandom, and the amazing actresses surrounding it. The movement will not end, even if the CW decides never to pick up the show. Because we always keep fighting.
