trials of osiris is a fundamentally broken concept from a gameplay perspective because any "competitive" pvp game mode that wants to be taken seriously shouldn't celebrate you going on an undefeated 7-0 win streak. the goal isn't to have fair, competitive games to test your skill. the goal is to repeatedly match against worse players multiple matches in a row to maintain your 100% win streak.

in any other competitive pvp game this would be seen as a complete failure of the system. in destiny, it's the entire point. i'm sure some players feel great stomping other players 7 games in a row, and im sure they believe this is some sort of testament to their "skill". however my destiny hot take is that for trials to ever be a truly competitive experience, the concept of "flawless" must die.
