Way back in 2001, ADV Films announced they had licensed a new Cutie Honey series. The only details given were that the series was “in production” and would be CG animated. Years passed and nothing ever came of it. The only sites that ever mentioned it were Anime News Network and The Ultimate Cutey Honey Resource. When news of Hideaki Anno's Re: Cutie Honey came out in 2004, fans speculated this could've been the series that ADV had originally licensed.
Sometime after Re: Cutie Honey was released, I attended an ADV Films panel at some convention (I believe Anime Next but I can't remember for sure) and asked Matt Greenfield about it. He stated that the series they licensed was scrapped completely and not at all related to Re: Cutie Honey. While this was sad to hear, it was nice to get some clarification. However, this canceled project continued to bug me over the years. Why was there no information about anywhere on the internet? Why weren't there any images of it floating around? It drove me insane!
After some deep diving, I finally struck gold.

It turns out there was an entire feature about it in the now defunct magazine CG iCupid. I had seen images from this magazine before but never realized it was related to the series-that-never-was. The June 2001 issue included images from the project as well as interviews with the staff. It turns out a four minute pilot was completed and showcased at NAB as well as Cannes Film Festival. The article lists the following staff members:
Production Production: Omega Project Work Production: Masashi Sakamoto (Griot) Director: Hiroyuki Kitakubo CG Production: Sasahara Gumi Ltd. Concept Work and Scenario: Dai Sato Artist Setting: Takashi Watanabe Creature Design: Yasushi Nirasawa Motion Capture: Studio Ibuki (Griot) Tetsue Kawano Music: Yoshihiro Ike In cooperation with Dynamic Planning
This project got mentioned a few years later in the Honey Style: Cutie Honey The Movie Complete Book, which confirmed it had been canceled:
In 2001, a 3D-CG Cutie Honey production headed by Omega Project and directed by Blood The Last Vampire’s Hiroyuki Kitakubo, was planned and even had images showcased to the public, however ultimately was never released.
* Thanks to Joshua Corrales for the translation above.
Also, it's long gone now but Hiroyuki Kitakubo actually mentioned it on his Twitter at some point. He said he didn't know why it got canceled but the quality of the pilot was "sloppy."
Nowadays it's not uncommon for lost media to resurface, so I'm hoping someone can dig up the lost pilot film. One of the companies involved, Griot, is still active, so maybe they have a copy sitting somewhere?

My take on the goodest boy: Krypto, the Super Alien Doggo

Originally a Kryptonian Warhound, Krypto was created in a lab by Jor-El and Lara. They changed his DNA to make him less agressive than the other member of his species and give him the ability to mimic other creatures DNA, in hope of being able to help Krypton's ecosystem. He was supposed to be the first of many creatures like him but Lara and Jor-El never had time to make more. He's also a hermaphrodite.
Thanks to that, Krypto can take the form of any dog he sees at least once but always keeping his original colors. He likes to change his appearance depending on the person he spends time with. Since his arrival on Earth, he never took his original form again.
This is only a few examples of his many forms :

Horrifying to think about the impunity of the West. Horrifying to witness Western terrorists dehumanizing whole communities and then audaciously couching it as a necessary stepping stone to peace. A city was continuously bombed and put under seige for over 21 months in the name of Jewish safety, and the West upheld the opinion that this is not a genocide.
