The famine in Gaza has reached catastrophic proportions. People collapse on the street out of hunger. They resort to going to literal killing fields for maybe a bag of flour for their family.

I don’t know what to say or what to write to ask for help from you. I don’t know what word will be effective so that you can help us and donate to us. When he reached the Israeli prison, U.S. human rights defender Chris Smalls was physically assaulted by seven uniformed individuals. They choked him and kicked him in the legs, leaving visible signs of violence on his neck and back.

When his lawyer met with him, Chris was surrounded by six members of Israel’s special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists.

We condemn this violence against Chris and demand accountability for the assault and discriminatory treatment he faced.

Famine in Gaza has reached Phase 5 — do you know what that means?

It is defined as a "catastrophe or famine", the most severe stage of food insecurity.

What exactly does Phase 5 mean?

At this stage, entire communities collapse due to extreme food shortages.

Families are unable to access food at all.

Clear signs of health deterioration appear, such as:

A sharp increase in death rates.

Widespread severe malnutrition.

A complete failure of coping mechanisms.

Immediate and large-scale intervention becomes absolutely necessary to preserve human life.

The urgency of the situation in Gaza now:

Reports indicate that famine is threatening the lives of millions of children.

Attacks and the ongoing blockade have pushed the number of children at risk of famine to 5.2 million, according to Save the Children.

This is no longer just a humanitarian crisis — it is a total collapse of the food and health system. Without immediate intervention, lives will continue to be lost every single day.

Today, right after my mom was taken into surgery, I donated blood for her. Two minutes later, I fainted and stayed unconscious for half an hour.

Why? Severe malnutrition. This is what hunger does to us.

Every day we live is a battle against hunger and the unknown.

Our children go to sleep without milk, Without bread and without food, their tiny bodies weakening from extreme hunger, and the tragedy only grows.

There is a fire in my heart that no one can see‼️

This is the second time I’ve lived through the brutality of hunger its harshness, its silence.

I walk through the streets of the city and find nothing to feed my children.

The first time was last year, when I documented my situation holding onto a piece of bread after over a month of deprivation.

Now, I’m reliving that same pain.

The helplessness before my children, the heartbreak, it feels like I’m failing as a father. This is the very definition of powerlessness. I am of no use to them.

Do you feel the weight of this hunger in my heart?

Do you feel my pain as a father?

Can you hear the cries of my children’s empty stomachs?
