Carrollton Rainbow's fearless veteran Cristin is here with some advice for staying strong through the tough spells. Cristin definitely knows how to stay tough when things are difficult as she has gone through some intense cancer treatments this year and is now in remission. We're grateful to have her with us! #hangingtough #carrolltonrainbow #suicidepreventionawareness #transveteran

https://ift.tt/j1GH2Nu 🎶🌈 The rise of LGBTQIA+ musicians like Chappell Roan is revolutionizing the music industry and reshaping pop culture as we know it. These artists are not just creating incredible music; they’re boldly sharing their authentic stories, breaking barriers, and building communities where love, self-expression, and individuality are celebrated. With songs that resonate deeply with queer audiences and beyond, they’re proving that inclusivity and vulnerability are not only powerful but essential in modern art. From Chappell Roan's unapologetically queer anthems to trailblazers like Lil Nas X, Janelle Monáe, and Sam Smith, LGBTQIA+ musicians are challenging norms and expanding the narrative of what pop music can be. Their visibility and success send a powerful message to fans worldwide: that being true to yourself isn’t just accepted—it’s celebrated. As their influence grows, we’re seeing their art inspire fashion, film, and even activism, showing how deeply intertwined music is with shaping our cultural landscape. 🌟✨ Which LGBTQIA+ artist inspires you the most? Share your favorites in the comments and let’s celebrate the voices that make the world a more colorful place! 🏳️🌈🎤 #LGBTQMusic #QueerVoices #PopCultureRevolution Uploaded by Carrollton Rainbow Inc. https://ift.tt/DyejEfV This year, and every year, we honor our fallen siblings on Transgender Day of Remembrance. For every life cut short, we promise to fight harder for equality, standing by our goal of making things a little brighter in our corner of the world. Today, we raise our candles high in your memory. “Transgender Day of Remembrance seeks to highlight the losses we face due to anti-transgender bigotry and violence. I am no stranger to the need to fight for our rights, and the right to simply exist is first and foremost. With so many seeking to erase transgender people — sometimes in the most brutal ways possible — it is vitally important that those we lose are remembered, and that we continue to fight for justice.” – Transgender Day of Remembrance founder Gwendolyn Ann Smith Uploaded by Carrollton Rainbow Inc. https://ift.tt/ImklLKu Dear Cristin, As a transgender woman, where is the worst place for you to go alone as in you’re worried about your safety. I know that’s an issue for some transgender people and thought you might could offer some suggestions of places that are completely safe and places maybe it’s best to avoid. Much love!!! Dear Anonymous, Given the current state of affairs in our country it’s important to be safe as a transgender person- there are a few things to consider about going out on the town. The most important would be to make sure you are aware of your situation and your surroundings. Don’t travel into places or spaces that your gut tells you is sketchy. Take a look at where exits are when you go shopping and have a cell phone with you. The second thing is to project confidence in your interactions with people. Read more at https://ift.tt/3GcdUEz. https://ift.tt/jk5C9F2 One of our newest board members, Angie, and her husband Jason attended the NAACP Gala on behalf of Carrollton Rainbow last night. Angie said, "I was really nice! I almost cried during the President's speech about fighting for communities - not only persons of color, but also women and the LGBT+ community in the time to come." Thanks, Angie for being such a great ally, and thanks Carroll County NAACP for the work you do in our community. Uploaded by Carrollton Rainbow Inc. November 17, 2024 at 01:01PM

https://ift.tt/mMcXe3P Love and kindness are the roots of a community that sees and celebrates each of us for who we truly are. In a world that sometimes misunderstands, let us be the kindness that heals, the love that empowers, and the light that welcomes. #carrolltonrainbow #loveoutloud #cowtownpride Uploaded by Carrollton Rainbow Inc.
