Moment By Moment
By: Maria Carmela Gatmaitan
The picture was captured in Angelus Eternal Garden at Imus, Cavite and the subject was my siblings and niece.
I captured this photo after my father's funeral. This is really meant to me because it made me realize that even waves are coming to us we are still together, holding with each other, and moving forward. Actually, its hard to step the stone when tide is blocking but we are a soldier and indestructible; a warrior, yet healing.
Moving on is a difficult path to saying that you are healed and to finally forget. However, its opposite, scars are not meant to forget the past, and moving forward are not meant to leave the things behind. Its a choice to conquered, overcome, and get to be better.
Prince and Princess — this is how I defined this photo. Coincidentally, the boy named is Prince, and the girl named is Princess. This picture was captured in Tahanang Mabuting Pastol at Tagaytay. The girl were my niece and the boy she met is just my brother's friend nephew. My niece is friendly to everyone, meanwhile, the boy is shy, so when I said 'pose', I get this shot; the results say itself.
'They are really cute together, let me capture it' — this is how I captured this moment, I don't wanna miss this kind of events. Because "photography is an art that captures the moments.”
My cutie niece, this two girls are my niece from my sister and cousin side. They were playing together when I'm capturing this moment, so it comes out naturally. This event is when we are in Bacolod and we went to restaurant to celebrates my uncle's birthday. The restaurant ambiance are really good even its not showed in a picture but it is open view and you will really see the mountains and scenery from a far. Also, they have a swings that my nieces are obssessed with it, and that is where I take the floor and take them a picture. “Real life. Memories. Captured.”
This is my man, Mhiko. It was taken in Villa Escudero Plantations and Resort during our tour.
During our stay in a swimming area at Villa Escudero, Mhiko and I decided to go kayaking. I am not strongly enough to do kayaking so he did the work for everything. Meanwhile I'm appreciating my view, I captured this kind of moment. Because there is saying "capturing the moments that captivate your heart.”

"Reminiscing Our Journey"
Finally, I have an opportunity to take a vacation with my family. And know what, we are going to Bacolod! Bacolod is my mom's hometown so my sister and I was very excited about it. Because it took us a while to come back in Bacolod because of our busy schedule.
Bacolod is a city located in the northwestern part of Negros Island and is the provincial capital of Negros Occidental. They are also known as 'City of Smile'. Based on my experience, every people are always show hospitality and say good morning or good afternoon even if you are a stranger. They greet it with a smile, I think it is a part of their culture and somehow I already adapt it. The city is also known for its Masskara Festival, an annual festival that’s celebrated every October and has masks as motif. It is similar to carnivals found around the globe. However, we did not give an opportunity to celebrate their Masskara Festival because I need to go back at our home in Cavite because of my school. But, of course we did not miss to explored their must destinations that I will definitely recommend it, like Campuestohan Resort and Canlandog Resort that are located in Talisay City and Murcia. I want to also recommend their food delicacies such as the birthplace of chicken inasal! I almost thrilled and overwhelmed about the mountains and scenery of Bacolod and of course the 'amoy probinsya' that one of the things I definitely missed in the city.
In all our journey in Bacolod City are much fun excitement and thrill because of the beauty, food, and culture. So, my family will never forget because we are not just enjoying the city but we also enjoyed the time with our family and some of our friends we just met.
"Even its regrettably, I'm still reminiscing what was our experience in Bacolod back then so I hope we will definitely back again..."

Gen Z: The Wandering
Generation Z are the wander, they are adventurous. They are also always curious and always follow the trends. They are saying that 'we don't follow trends, we set them' that they exposed to travel inspiration through social media or other platforms. Generation Z are exposed on technology that makes other generation inspired and motivated to travel. Actually, millenials and generation Z are interconnected with one another because they are mostly the 'wander' regarding of travels among the other generation. The difference is millenials have enough money to travel internationally. Meanwhile, Gen Z has limited money but they are more adventerous and a risk taker. In short, Gen Z's are 'the wandering'. They are not waiting until they have high-paying jobs or a nest egg of savings to travel. Rather, “they are finding ways to fit it into their budgets now".
Gen Z's as a 'wander' are more exciting and flexible because they are always plan last minute and see the trend of more spontaneous bookings with less of a lead time. They are also did not care and not afraid to adventure and go into a new country. Indeed, they are the most curious generation of travelers yet. Unlike millennials because millennials aren't as adventurous or curious. They are more cautious and take safety as a big deal, and they are always plan ahead of time. However, back to our purpose; Generation Z are more indentified as wandering travelers because they are also has opportunity to dive deeper into the country's culture and experience the destination through the eyes of a local. Because they are more sociable and interactive, especially in the social medias platforms that they are sharing their experience; it also makes the other Gen Z to be curious about their journey and makes them motivated to experience too since they are the 'trendsetter'. They can also share their 'wandering' to other generation and to the society itself.
