What we really crave...

What we really crave, what we are really after isn’t Love, Acceptance, Peace, Commitment, Prosperity, Time, Forgiveness, Solitude, Money, Success, or any of the other things we can put here… We want one thing. Freedom. Everything else I listed is just a way TO Freedom, experienced in different ways. But freedom never is any of these. It’s never anywhere other than right smack inside of us. Letting go is the fast track to letting our soul slide itself unerringly “back into the groove”–our Path. You can FEEL it! Don’t mess with it by getting ourselves hung up on things, holding on to what we think we want, or being a victim. Just Let Go. And feel the smoothness move through us. Everything else we want? All our hearts’ desires?… Well, they’re coming. On that path.

When someone really hears you without passing judgment on you, without taking responsibility for you, without trying to mold you, it feels good. When I have been listened to, when I have been heard, I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and go on. It is astonishing how elements that seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens. How confusions that seem irremediable become relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard.
