When Mary realized Claire still hadn't come home by midnight, she left their workshop and was greeted by Jensen who told her that Pen brought her sister to the clinic. She ran as fast as she could, almost slamming the door open when she got there. Her sister sat on a cot while a cape-less Pen stood next to her with his arms crossed. Both turned to Mary with a surprised look. "Are you alright?" Mary was quickly by her sister's side, taking note of the bandages wrapped around her arms. Claire nodded and she let out a sigh of relief. She felt like the older sister for the past months they've been in Sandrock, an unusual occurrence for the siblings as Claire had always been very responsible. "Okay. From now on, we both have to be home before 10pm. If not, we have to start looking for each other. I think it's best we both stop our night owl habits." Mary nodded at her own proposal. Claire agreed. Mary bowed her head to Pen. "Thanks for rescuing my sister." "All in a day's, or at least in this instance, night's work for the protector." He turned to Claire. "No more wandering off without prep, alright? Or take me with you next time. Should be more exciting than getting rid of the weak riff-raff around town. And I can monitor your training as well! Win-win, yes?" He pet her head. Mary raised a brow. She doesn't remember a time when Pen cared for anyone other than himself. And now he's training her sister? Was that what the whole sparring sessions were about? She glanced at Claire who didn't seem to mind his presence. In fact she seemed to enjoy being around him. Mary sighed inwardly. If her sister is happy, and Pen seems genuine to her, perhaps there's nothing wrong with them being friends. Claire nodded at his response. Her eyes flickered at his torn cape on top of a bedside table beside her cot. He followed her gaze and shook his head. "Don't worry about it, I have plenty. Why don't you keep it as a memento of the time your hero saved you from danger? HAH! I jest. I only have one. Will you fix it for me?" Mary shook her head, sighing. Claire nodded again. "Okay."

First of all, I have to admit that this picture is just amazing. I love everything about it. The way Pen is portrayed makes him look a bit monstrously muscular so that the builder really does look like a virgin in his name 😀 I think the contrast is pretty good between the two I love any romance between these two 😭🤩

there is still a lack of movement, practice in the outlines and above all they should stop looking at you as if you were psychos, but it's slowly getting a bit better, I'm getting to grips with the program a bit, even if I'm still completely overwhelmed
