Note
Thank you, Lady D for being the best and highest source of divination learning and practices. May I ask about both sides of the different divination techniques? What's the best and worst parts about them please?
THE BEST & WORST THING ABOUT 10 DIVINATION METHODS
TAROT
BEST: It has the richest vocabulary and emotional capacity to answer any and every question.
WORST: Years of studying it might prove entirely useless if your intuition is not naturally strong.
ASTROLOGY
BEST: It hands you a clear map of your destiny throughout your current, past and future lives.
WORST: Most available sources for it do not recognize its sanctity, rendering it useless for many.
RUNECASTING
BEST: It lets you confront yourself with the most difficult questions to help you thrive in life.
WORST: It cannot answer very specific queries, such as those about someone’s age and appearance.
SCRYING
BEST: It empowers you to see into the minds of deities, entities and mortals – dead and alive.
WORST: Unless your will is very strong, you will only ever see random, meaningless visions.
ONEIROMANCY
BEST: It not only shows you a glimpse of the past or the future. It actually takes you there.
WORST: It is impossible for most to differentiate between psychological and prophetic dreams.
PALMISTRY
BEST: It is like astrology and tarot combined. A map of your destiny told creatively.
WORST: Actual practice, not just generalized lessons and diagrams, is required to truly learn it.
TASSEOGRAPHY
BEST: It is a lot like scrying. It allows you to see and hear beyond what your eyes and ears can.
WORST: It makes it easy for you to fool yourself. As the saying goes, “We see what we want to see.”
PYROMANCY
BEST: As the earliest method of fortunetelling, it is among the most sacred forms of divination.
WORST: Since fire is involved, it can be very dangerous for yourself and your surroundings.
CHARMCASTING
BEST: It is the simplest and easiest form of divination. Anyone can throw and read random trinkets.
WORST: It is arguably so far removed from its true origins that it is closer to a game than to actual divination.
LENORMAND
BEST: It causes minimal to zero confusion, since it is the most straightforward method of divination.
WORST: It requires a logical state of mind, yet heavy emotions are inherent in most questions.

You’ve heard of healing crystals
now get ready for Danger Rocks
Please do not lick any of these
1. Chrysotile
Tumblr media
aka Asbestos! It heals lung cancer! heals it from 0HP to full health! it causes cancer do not touch do not lick
okay but this is a cool danger rock, it’s a physical carcinogen. As in, it doesn’t poison you into having cancer, it just has little needle-y bits that LITERALLY STIR UP your DNA and break it, and when the cells try to repair their DNA they get it wrong and you get cancer
2. Torbenite
Tumblr media
A super pretty danger rock! it’s a uranium ore and releases radon gas for Extra Poison!
3. Hutchinsonite - (Tl,Pb)2As5S9
Tumblr media
This danger rock has it all! Lead! arsenic! Thallium! All super toxic! Will legit kill you
seriously don’t lick this one, i’m looking at you, fellow geologists
thallium doesn’t taste like anything so you’re not even getting data, just poisoned
4. Cinnabar (Mercury sulfide)
Tumblr media
Can be a very pretty red color! so it was used to make paint. The paint was super toxic.
In addition to being dangerous to your health, it’s also morally dangerous! someone had to mine it (v dangerous) so even owning it feels unethical
5. Stibnite (Antimony sulfide)
Tumblr media
people used to make spoons and makeup and shit out of this, the spoons poisoned people who ate with them. It’s kinda pretty but not worth dying over
6. Orpiment  (an arsenic sulfide)
Tumblr media
Look how pretty it is!!
“Incorrect handling” WILL poison you, that’s fucking arsenic
Honorable mentions:
Malachite, if eaten or… you know ;) (warning: nsfw, THat Post) Galena (lead sulfide), don’t eat it or break the rock and you’ll probably be ok, the dust is the main danger

Tarot’s Knights in Fiction
Sometimes, the easiest way to remember is to associate tarot with your favorite characters.
Knight of Cups
Game of Thrones: Jon Snow
Jon embodies this knight’s unrealistic idealism. He always does what is right, even if it kills him. And it did. He was stabbed to death for it.
Harry Potter: Gilderoy Lockhart
Lockhart displays this knight’s shadow aspect. Vanity and pride so great that he would hurt others just to extend the applause.
The Lord of the Rings: Frodo Baggins
Frodo exemplifies this knight’s dedication to his quest, which springs from innocence and purity of heart instead of plain ambitiousness.
Merlin: Arthur Pendragon
Arthur is this knight in his sanitized form. Handsome, kind and in love. He is also this knight’s stereotype — heart over mind; pretty, but not so bright.
Knight of Wands
Game of Thrones: Jaime Lannister
The younger Jaime exemplified this knight. The prowess in battle… the outward bravery… and the daring recklessness that hurt his reputation.
Harry Potter: Sirius Black
In his youth, Sirius was this knight rebelling against his family because of his principles, and bullying Snape just for fun. A blend of morality and immaturity.
The Lord of the Rings: Boromir
This knight comes alive in Boromir’s effortlessness in proving his worth. But also in the weakness and impulsiveness he displayed in the face of temptation.
Merlin: Sir Gwaine
Gwaine’s strategy of fight now, think later and hope for the best is a showcase of this knight’s courage and optimism. To him, fortune favors the brave.
Knight of Swords
Game of Thrones: Ramsay Bolton
Ramsay exhibits the shadow aspect of this knight. The violence and the ruthlessness. But also the strategic mind in battle that usually ensures triumph.
Harry Potter: Severus Snape
This knight is a Slytherin. And no one is more of a Slytherin than Snape. The determination. The precision. The successful way he concealed his true self.
The Lord of the Rings: Legolas
Like this knight, Legolas is a mechanical fighter. Efficient and effective every step of the way. As a friend, he is reliable. As an enemy, he is fatal.
Merlin: Morgana
Morgana exemplifies this knight’s way of thinking: that cruelty can be justified by one’s station and title. As well as the extremist stance on vengeance.
Knight of Pentacles
Game of Thrones: Arya Stark
Like this knight, Arya patiently waited, trained and absorbed the pain. And the moment she was ready to strike, not even Death could stop her.
Harry Potter: Hermione Granger
Hermione embodies this knight’s foresight. Like him, she is always prepared for the worst. Never attacking without thinking first.
The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn
Aragorn demonstrates this knight’s humility. He does not want power or wealth. He desires only stability and the freedom to be himself.
Merlin: Sir Lancelot
Lancelot personifies this knight’s gentle demeanor and introverted nature. As well as the selflessness and piety towards those who have earned his loyalty.

Dear diana, about 3 weeks ago i watched your tarot & other decks collection video. First time i've heard about sibilla and kipper!! So intrigued.... Checked your posts here about them and immediately ordered one deck of each! They haven't arrived because of the quarantine but they will in a few days! Can you please share a short 'how to read' intro or sample spread for each if it's not too much to ask? Thank you for being an inspiration to so many of us! There's no one like you.... Lotsa love!!!
How to Read with KIPPER and SIBILLA
To begin with, here is an introduction to Kipper, including how it compares with tarot, Lenormand and Sibilla. While here is an overview of Sibilla; and here is how it compares with Lenormand. Below are the simplest ways to read with both.
KIPPER
Step 1: Find a significator.
If you are a woman, the Main Female card signifies you, while the Main Male card signifies your lover. But if you wish to read about topics other than yourself or your partner, here are more significators:
The Good Lord - Your father, grandfather or boss; a male authority figure in your life, usually older than you
The Good Lady - Your mother, grandmother or boss; a female authority figure in your life, usually older than you
A Rich Man - Your brother, a cousin or a friend; a male who is of the same age as you or younger than you
A Rich Girl - Your sister, a cousin or a friend; a female who is of the same age as you or younger than you
False Person - Your rival, your enemy, “the other woman” or “the other man”, your ex; a villainous figure in your life
Small Child - Your child, a child of a friend, a child of a lover; a child in your family or your vicinity
Place the significator in the middle of your reading table in front of you.
Step 2: Ask your question.
Invoke whom you will, as you overhand shuffle the rest of your deck and ask your question.
Step 3: Lay your cards.
Put one card each…
to the left of your significator,
above it,
below it,
and to its right.
Step 4: Read your spread.
In this sample spread, the question is: “What can I look forward to for the rest of the month?”
Tumblr media
THE PAST (The Prison) - “You have felt imprisoned, powerless and punished in the past few weeks.”
THE HOPE (A Gift) - “You are hoping for a gift of something good as a reward for your suffering.”
THE ALLY (Big Luck) - “You now have Lady Luck on your side. Things should be all right.”
THE FUTURE (Success in Love) - “For the rest of the month, your luck will manifest as romantic love.”
As you can see, the meanings are not symbolic like in tarot, or metaphorical like in Lenormand. Rather, they are quite literal. You simply have to put the cards’ names in the context of your question and the position they landed in.
SIBILLA
Step 1: Ask your question.
There is no need for a significator in Sibilla. Directly begin by invoking whom you will, as you overhand shuffle the whole deck and ask your question.
Step 2: Lay your cards.
Create the same cross shape as you would with Kipper. Put one card each…
in the middle,
to its left,
above it,
below it,
and to its right.
Step 3: Read your spread.
In this sample spread, the question is the same as before: “What can I look forward to for the rest of the month?”
Tumblr media
THE PRESENT (Malady) - “There is a physical, mental or emotional malady in your life at the moment.”
THE PAST (Thief) - “This is because someone recently stole something from you: your money, your happiness or your dignity.”
THE OBSTACLE (Falseness) - “And so now your problem is that you have forgotten how to trust. You think everyone is false.”
THE ADVICE (Journey) - “You have to leave all of this behind. Start again and remember that not everyone is a villain.”
THE FUTURE (Doctor) - “If you follow this advice, within the rest of the month, healing will come into your life.”
As with Kipper, note that the meanings are not symbolic like in tarot, or metaphorical like in Lenormand. Rather, they are quite literal. You simply have to put the cards’ names in the context of your question and the position they landed in.
Have fun reading!
