It must be really hard to be a model and an actress, make everything come together, must be tiring” she looked at Cara as she took another sip of her tea “are you taking care of your health?”

“That’s a really good idea. I did kind of order more than we probably needed,” she smiled innocently, not regretting it at all - especially if they’d take a couple home with them each. Cara made a mental note to ask the cafe if they had little boxes to put the cakes in. “I’m okay at dancing but, I know I’m nowhere near your level.” Cara thought about it for a moment, “yeah I think I’m taking care of my health. It’s weird though. When I’m working I take really good care of my health with what I eat and stuff like that. But because I don’t get many days off, if I do have one then I can be really unhealthy. I probably need to find more of a middle balance.”

One day she wasn’t designing, meeting, flying or even pretending to care about people she didn’t. Melissa was begging her to take a day off for a while now so when Cara mentioned the ocean it all fit perfectly. “Yo, where are we at?”, she said, after letting out the smoke. She knew they left America for this, and honestly she didn’t needed a rational answer, she just wanted to sound less high now.

Cara smiled wide but was totally channeling the lazy tone of Rihanna’s voice since that was exactly how she was feeling as well. So carefree, and finally able to just have a good time without worrying about anything. Taking her own blunt, she lit it and spoke through the smoke coming from her lips. “Urm, reckon we’re off Miami?” she asked, but they couldn’t see the shore from where they were so it wasn’t really a problem or concern.

I’m good at it.” She giggled “what about you? What have you been up to?” Momo said taking another bite, now from a different piece of cake.

“Thank you! I thought that was a pretty good selection!” she said proudly, smile wide as she picked up her spoon and tried one as well. “They are good,” she spoke through a mouthful, “I shouldn’t have too many of these but I already know I will. And ugh, I wish I could dance like you and not be all like - limbs everywhere. I’ve been doing all sorts. Shot an ad campaign for Puma that’s still coming out, which is cool.”

Cara could feel the warm sun on her stomach, tanning her skin and making her feel like she was in some form of paradise. She always felt lucky with her job, with her life, but just about when she was feeling her best it just felt like it was getting better. “I can surprise you! Hang on, there’s no line,” she said as she went over to the counter and put in both of their orders - some tea for the two of them and a little selection of cakes. It’d be a couple of minutes until the cakes were brought over, but Cara carried the two mugs of coffee back over to Momo and placed them on the table before sitting down. “So tell me! What have you been up to lately, real talk, I need to know everything.”

So here we are, one week after NOT being at the MET and everything is fine - Viola will have one more season to slay on acting, Tyra Banks is rocking the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, Missy Elliott received an honorary degree from Berklee College of Music and I became the first black woman to lead a luxury corporation by signing with LVMH. SO – If anyone, ANYONE asks about new music to me anytime soon, I’ll just flip. You understand it right? Everyone has that question you don’t wanna media or fans asking no more.

I’m definitely not okay with it, it wasn’t fine at all, but fuck yeah look at all your women rocking the game right there. When I saw Tyra’s cover I got emotional and not only because she looked gorgeous, and I’m so excited for you signing! Everyone definitely has that question, but you’re just a fucking superwoman and everyone thinks you can do everything.
