“I was lucky enough to see The Eras Tour this summer, and I ran into someone from my past who was a great love. Being at the same show and knowing that we were both scream singing all the lyrics written by an artist who has narrated so many of the romances throughout my life, the eras of our relationship rose and hit me like a wave. But water can’t ever be held, and writing this song was my best attempt at creating the container to capture that moment in time even if it was the closing of a chapter.” — Cari Fletcher

Hey Buddy! Did you ever re-send that ask? If you did, tumblr ate it again.....Hope you're well, My Friend! Love you!!!
Hey Em, I hope you are having a good time. And I didn't but it's something easy. It was about Ally's comments on 5h anniversary where she only posted a video about herself cutting the other girls from it. That was weird because we hadn't expected that from her but even from Lauren or Camila not her. And Camila and Lauren posted about it, but Normani just posted two pictures and Dinah just reblogued a tweet about the anniversary and she didn't like Camila's post. Lauren and Normani did it.
I don't know what to make of that even though it's been months since that anniversary. I feel like if there is a conflict between the girls, I think it has nothing to do with Camila but with Ally.
Because even Lauren that's "independent" was the first one talking about the anniversary. I didn't even expect anything from Camila and she did it, even if it was late she did it. What do you think about it buddy? For me, there's non-disclosure contracts that are running out, but I can't tell for sure.
I hope Tumblr don't eat this one buddy. Have a good week ❤️

Lauren’s Live................
Let me start by saying, that was a brave move. She was able to come out and say directly, what others, including Camila, have been trying to say indirectly. Being Independent has it’s perks, in ways.
One of the reasons I haven’t been as active lately, is because my damn in box has been full of nothing but bitching. Bitching about PR. Bitching about no NEW content. Just bitching, bitching, bitching.
As Lauren said in that live, people don’t buy music anymore. That’s why they have to sell the Artist, instead of the music. If you like the artist, you’ll buy/stream their music. I have seen more people bitch about the content Camila has been putting out, or lack there of. You need to UNDERSTAND, she is putting out what she is allowed to put out, right now. SHE DOESN’T HAVE CONTROL OF HER OWN MUSIC. SHE ISN’T THE ONE WHO MAKES THE DECISIONS OF WHEN, OR WHAT.
I will say Lauren, if you read this, YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH. Never doubt your talent. You are a wonderful talented Artist, songwriter, vocalist, and creator. Your problem with the majors wasn’t lack of talent. It was your desire to control your own career. That’s what the Labels had a problem with.

So I read this about L According to Spotify, Lauren is releasing under her own independent record label “Attunement Records” under AWAL Recordings. What does this actually mean? Is it good or bad? Has she got out of her contract with sony?
It's actually a good thing. I've been pretty sure, since April, that Lauren was free from her original contract. I wasn't ready to voice it, because Columbia was still showing her on their roster. What made me think that? Lauren was releasing songs on other projects, besides her own. If she was still under Columbia, then Temporary would have said "featuring Lauren Jauregui", and somewhere would have said she appeared on the record "courtesy of Columbia Records". The same thing with "While I'm Alive". Not only did it not say "featuring" her, but Femme It Forward actually owns the copyright of the song. So. Lauren sold the rights of the song to them. She wouldn't have been able to do that if she were still signed to a major label like Columbia. She was doing all these other things, so she could afford to make her own album and visuals. She don't want to be in debt to a Label, or enslaved by one. So, how is this a good thing? Though it is true, Sony owns AWAL Recordings, they are still an Independent label under Sony. Attunement Records is Lauren's own record company that she will be doing her music business through. She is now in control. She owns her own masters, and has creative control over her own career. She granted AWAL licensing rights to distribute, market, and promote her music, for a agreed upon number of months/years. AWAL is a three tiered company. They are looking for new talent, that either don't want to sign to a major label, or won't be signed to a major label until they have been developed more. Lauren skipped the first two tiers, and signed a third tier contract with AWAL's record label. The record label will do more for the artist, than the first two tiers, for additional percentages. For Lauren, AWAL will market, promote, distribute, get her on playlists, and get her radio play, for a bigger cut of the profits. They can provide advance money, but it has to be paid back. They can provide additional money for videos and stuff, but again, it has to be paid back. With AWAL, Lauren is responsible for her own career. AWAL is supposed to do nothing without consulting with her. She has control of the songs that go on her albums, and when singles/albums will be released. She is responsible for getting them recorded, getting the artwork done, and all that. She creates her art, completes it, hands it in, and they will do their part. Lauren is supposed to be consulted, and be in agreement with everything done, every step of the way. The only real downside, is that Sony owns it. You can bet, somewhere in that AWAL contract, it says that if and when Lauren wants more support from a bigger label, Sony will have first dibs at signing her. That's really why Sony bought AWAL in the first place. That's probably how Lauren ended up signing with AWAL in the first place. She wanted full control, which no major label would give her. Sony wasn't really ready to give her up, so they gave her what she wanted with AWAL. Sony will still be making money off her, and not really spending much, if any, to do so. It has the appearance of a win-win. Lauren gets what she wants, and Sony gets what they want. We'll see how it all works out in the end.
