Real-life voodoo dolls.

Well, that’s a little misleading: they are actually bocio, totem figures carrying spiritual power—the voodoo doll as we know it from comics and movies never really existed.

Bocio—which means “empowered cadaver”—can protect their owners, guide them, or be used to exact revenge on people who caused harm. Sticking pins in them would be like sticking pins in a Virgin Mary figure.

the lecturer hands us these art blogs every now and then, and they’re really useful. Tangents are pretty easy to fall for, too! which sucks ‘cuz then it’d look weird and you’d have to re-do some stuffs or worse, re-do the composition of the whole image.
