the fact that tumblr is not exploding with posts about the canon wlw relationship in Supergirl, and there was just now an episode basically dedicated to it and almost all of it was focused on Alex and Kelly (Alex being a lesbian woman, Kelly too and a woman of color)…

I feel it’s because it drew the fans who were really interested in lgbt+ couples away by focusing on Lena, and the Lena fans are, in fact, 90% filling the tag with Lena even after this episode to complain about her not being there or to make up potential plots for her instead of fangirling about the representation they want and that they did get, because seriously, it doesn’t make sense, the tag should be full of people discussing Alex and Kelly, and their healthy relationship and the ‘I love you’, and instead if you take away Lena-posts it’s basically dead with some rare exceptions 

and last episode was about Nia and her transgender identity and yet same thing. 

This is just so sad.

Bruh, this is probably the third time Alex has gone on a rampage about her role in her family and Kara as the golden child and her feelings of neglect. It unfortunately is not new. These feelings have been there

All of this… ALL OF THIS… where in the actual fuck was all of this pile of feelings in the past 3 years!? Why have we never seen even the hint of it until today!? 

This is the same exact thing that makes me so angry in the NCIS episodes where Ziva shows up, suddenly there’s all of this shit that these characters deal with that was never foreshadowed in any way. And it’s in no way the actor’s fault of course, it’s just plain bad cohesive writing…

…okay, I guess, let’s see how this goes.
