An update

After careful consideration, I’ve decided against taking a break from the hormones - in fact, I’ve felt pretty good about everything lately (mostly everything), to the point where I might even say I’m happy for a change. It was likely to do with the change in my depression/anxiety medication, but regardless, I’m hoping it persists.

I no longer wish to die as much as I did a week or two ago, and I’m steadily working towards finding financial assistance in order to pursue my dream of transitioning further. Slowly, but surely, something will have to happen.

Recently, I was recommended what is called (at least here), a case manager. A case manager is basically someone who helps you with basic everyday stuff that to some, might seem simple, but to others (like myself), not so much. Through her, I was able to discover that I might not have to drive 70~ miles for my doctor that prescribes the hormones - there might actually be a doctor way closer and I had no idea. This is great news, and I’ll be working with her more next week.

If you’re someone like me who feels lost when they hear the word ‘adult’, I recommend seeking one of those people out. They can help with getting work, help (therapy, psychiatry, etc), education.
