I watched X Men TAS millions of times and I remember all of Romy's scenes perfectly. THAT WAS A RELATIONSHIP. What was the need to ruin it with Magneto? And as the other anonymous told you, it was all romanticized. i'm so sick of them wasting the potential of a character as complex as Gambit! I thought in this new series he was going to get a break from so much damage in the comics…. And the detail of her wearing THE DRESS with Magneto?????!!!!!!! I still can't believe they did that. Gross. They did everything wrong.

It seems it wasn't enough with the Wolverine-Jean-Cyclops soap opera, they also had to bring in this unnecessary bullshit triangle that obviously never worked in the comics. They really wasted him, his action moments were good but very few; he didn't interact with anyone else and instead his scenes were reduced to him groveling for Rogue's attention. The dress thing? A total piss in our face.

Saw your response on how badly Romy was done in X-Men 97 and just wanted to say I love Rogue and Gambit as well and was so disappointed.

All of Rogue's scenes after Remy died did not feel meaningful to me. "My man" this and "his name was Gambit" that. Ok??? But she still cheated on him and she wasn't about to choose him until AFTER *HE* had enough and said they should be friends.

And people somehow eat it up? People somehow still ship them in the cartoon? I'm sorry but no. Idk what isn't clicking for ppl that their fave simply fucked up. I know it's a cartoon but acting like Rogue is an innocent party who can do no wrong to Gambit is crazy.

I LOVED all those scenes where she was kicking ass too until she brought up Remy's name and then I immediately rolled my eyes.

I don't understand the "She was about to choose Remy though" arguments because they're simply not valid when she did not express an apology to him and only made up her mind when he finally basically broke up with her.

It's more than clear that those who eat all that you mention are some Rogue fans who pretend to love the couple but in reality they are only interested in Remy being her sexy and romantic friend/boyfriend/trophy husband. Rogue in the place of the poor innocent victim who never apologizes for anything because she never does anything wrong and for everything she is justified, is a classic in the comics. By now I shouldn't be surprised and I should even be used to that shit, BUT NO!

You are wrong, Rogue is not a whore, but you are a misogynist. I don't understand how you say rogue is your favorite female character if you disrespect her. And like most Gambit fans, you're probably just insulting her because she was with Magneto.
