All that being said while I agree that sex scenes can serve a thematic and emotional purpose within the narrative and contribute to a film’s story. I’m gonna be real here sometimes I think it’s neat to have a sex scene for the sake of being horny and letting the viewers masturbate. Nobody questions action scenes for the sake of action sometimes it is just dumb mindless yet fun explosions. Maybe the director really did just feel like inserting a bit of porn. How much do we really need to justify it as secretly high-brow art because does it even need to be?

I grit my teeth and read the entire executive order regarding trans people, and I just want to take the opportunity to remind folks not to forget intersex people. One of the rescinded documents is “Supporting Intersex Students: A Resource for Students, Families, and Educators," and there is a huge emphasis on legally enshrining "only two sexes."

Yes, this affects trans people, but with the way intersex voices often get ignored in trans spaces, I just want to remind folks not to shut us out. Don't forget us. Don't keep talking over us. Don't act like we aren't on the front lines. Don't act like this is just about you. Please.

Sure sure romantic pairings are fine and all. But more people should perhaps consider two characters loving each other to the point of incomprehensibility. To the point that there is no simpler way in english to define or describe it than just to say those characters’ names together, joined eternally by the vague conjunction ‘and’. There’s so many types of love and dependencies and emotions in general thrown in there that you can’t tell what colors they are anymore, they’ve just joined into a giant blobby mess that’s almost black, but when you look closer glistens with more colors than there are names for. Just a thought
