Avery and Larissa talked about everything. Just, everything about this situation Larissa was in, it was kind of hard to see her best friend struggling the way she was. Trying to work out everything that was going on in her mind, and she wanted to help he the best way she could. She knew Larissa deserved better and Avery, she was all for trying to help her. But she didn’t know much, aside from what Larissa has told her now, and she was going to go with her gut. But she knew the ultimate decision would be Larissa’s and what she does after that. So Avery was just here to offer some support and hope she can help.
“That is the thing though, she knows you’ll be there when she calls and that isn’t fair to you. Have you tried talking to her about the way you feel? And see where she sees where this is going? Because it shouldn’t just be you. You know that right?” Avery took a drink of the drink she had and she turned more towards Larissa to take a look at her. “You are confused and conflicted and I don’t like that. Just, I don’t know, she has to see your side of things and compromise if she feels the way that you do. Or I have a word with her and this will be different too, best friend talk.”
𝑫𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒔 ; a friend to lean on.
Larissa had recently gotten herself involved with a woman. She hadn’t told anyone about her, because of the ‘rules’ that Danielle Wilkins had set for this… relationship. Larissa wasn’t even sure if she could call it a relationship, but whatever it was, Larissa knew that she wanted more. She wasn’t allowed in Danielle’s house. She didn’t know where she lived. Danielle’s sister didn’t know anything about Larissa and that was strange due to how close Melanie and Danielle seemed to be. Danielle was more than happy to talk about Melanie, but she never spoke about herself.
Tired of feeling like some dirty little secret, Larissa headed to her best friend’s bar to blow off some steam. @cannyempath was Lara’s very best friend and it didn’t matter what was going on in either of their lives, they always tried their best to help the other. That was real friendship and it was one that Lara needed right now.
Taking a seat at the bar, Lara asked the bartender for Avery and was told that Avery had just clocked off so she’d be down in a minute. Lara ordered herself a glass of red wine whilst she waited patiently at the bar for her best friend. Maybe she could shed some light on this situation. Maybe she could see something that Lara was missing. Or maybe it just wasn’t meant to be… Either way, Lara needed her best friend and some alcohol to drown out the noise and pain.

Avery hated seeing her best friend like this. She knew Larissa didn’t fall easily for someone, and seems, something about Danielle made her fall hard and she wasn’t giving her back what she felt. That was hard because Avery knew that her friend was in her feelings but she wanted to help. She wanted her to know she is worth more then that. That is why she wanted Larissa to do what is best for her.
Sighing low, Avery just thinks she needs to not give in, and instead put distance so she knows what is going on. “I think you need to set boundaries and not go every time she calls. That only means she won’t change. The fact you know more about her sister then her says a lot. I am not here to judge, but I think you need to really think about that. I don’t want you getting hurt because you’re investing more into something then she is. I know I have no say, but I care about you and I care what happens to you. Just, do what’s best for you please.”
This was Avery hoping Larissa will open her eyes and she will definitely be ready to kick Danielle to the curb because she isn’t giving her what she deserves and Avery being protective, this is why she doesn’t want her being strung along.

Music has always been something Avery relied on. She just loved the way it spoke about anything she was going through. So when she got a little sister, she passed a lot of that to her and now, they both were huge into music. Though, Josslyn she was more into it then her as she was a lot better with the guitar, and she sang and she was just incredible. Avery was really proud of her younger sister, though she knew her sister wanted to make a name for herself and become a start, and that alone took some work. Though, Avery had to make sure with her posting things online, to not just trust anyone. That is not what they do and her being young, it was easier to have someone pretend to be someone. She just didn’t want her sister to get hurt.
Avery had a bar where people would come in and play music. So she knows how some people like to pretend to be something they are not. Avery knew the dangers of everything online as well. But she knew her sister was smart, and Josslyn, she would know what is good and what isn’t. Not do something she didn’t know anything about. That is what she hoped she has taught her as well. Avery had told her not to answer messages or comments without someone there and someone to help her see if it was real or not. People just try to lure people, and she didn’t want that to happen to her younger sister. She was just happy to be doing what she loved and getting new artist noticed in her place. Something she wanted to do for her sister but she didn’t ask so she was waiting for that.
The night life at her place was always busy. They had a busy night as it was for dancing and just music being heard. Music was the main purpose of her place, and Avery, she was just glad it was all working out. This was everything she had wanted and she was just proud of the world she has done to make it one of the most visited places on any given night. Sure, it wasn’t easy, but she was just happy. She loved her life and when she got a call from her sister, looking at the time, she knew this wasn’t like Josslyn to call her this late. It was well past the time she was supposed to be relaxing in her room and maybe falling asleep if she wasn’t working on her music. Avery walked to the back of her place and she picked her phone up.
“Joss, hey! What is going on?” As Avery said that, she knew something was going on. She could heard a ton of noise in the background and she was concerned where her sister was because she knew she wasn’t at home. She knew her parents weren’t with her so it made her panic just slightly. “Joss, can you hear me?” Trying to speak louder, but between her playhouse, and the noise where Josslyn was, it was almost impossible to hear anything. So, Avery just waited to see what she can hear and she headed back towards her office and she was going to leave once she knew for sure she needed her and to get her away from whatever was going on.
𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 ; desperate to make a name.
Music became the most important thing in Josslyn Lyon’s life after her older sister @cannyempath introduced her to it. She taught her to play guitar and then singing quickly followed suit and before long, Josslyn’s love and passion for music just grew. She was infatuated with the idea of becoming a star. She wanted that limelight. She wanted to share the stage with people she had looked up to since she was only young. She wanted her name in lights, with sold out arenas and all eyes on her. She was so desperate for fame that she did something reckless, something which her older sister had warned her not to do.
Joss had started her own social media pages a few years back and began posting covers onto video sharing sites. As her views rolled in, her confidence grew and so she decided to start sharing her original songs. She gained only more attention and positive reactions but in amongst those positive comments were ones that posed danger. Hidden danger.
When she was scrolling through her comments and messages one day, Joss noticed that a man had messaged her. This wasn’t unusual for men to message Joss, but this one had an offer that she simply couldn’t ignore. He told her he was from a record label and that he wanted to record a few of her songs and sign her to his company. Joss was only 14 so her fear about this exciting opportunity was that she would have to bring an adult and whilst everyone in her life supported her passion and drive for music, they had all told her to never answer messages online or meet with strangers from the internet. She knew they wouldn’t be on board but then Jason told her that she wouldn’t need to bring an adult.
Joss was over the moon but she still had to get past her parents. She waited until they fell asleep and once she was certain that the coast was clear, she snuck out of the house and made her way to the location that she had agreed to meet Jason. She called a cab, using money that she had stolen from her parents and paid the driver as he pulled up outside of a very busy street. There was some kind of event going on in the hall where the cab had dropped her off and immediately, Joss knew something was wrong.
She turned on her heel to flag down the cab but it was long gone. She felt the panic rising in her throat as she was swallowed up by a crowd of people. The crowd got louder and more cramped and Josslyn had no way out. She knew that this was a bad idea and wanted nothing more than to go home so she fished her phone out from her pocket and dialled the one number she knew she could count on. Avery. She was working but as Joss put the phone to her ear and listened to the ringing, she prayed her sister would pick up. She needed to get out of here and Avery was her lifeline. She had to pick up… She needed her.

Avery was the oldest of two kids. At a young age, her parents let her explore just what she wanted to do, and that was music. At a young age she was really just learning about music and had a guitar and played every now and then and just loved the way she escaped everything when it came to thinking about everything. She had played a few songs for her best friend and her parents supported her no matter what she wanted to do. But the thing with Avery, she passed her love for music to her younger sister. Avery was glad she could pass something on to the sister she has always wanted and they shared the love of playing songs and just hoping for something big for the two of them.
Avery knew at a young age she was into women. She didn’t let that stop her, she didn’t hide it and just went along with what the world had to offer her with people. But Avery wasn’t one who dated seriously, because she felt they weren’t worth it. She was too busy opening her dream place. She always wanted to open up a small music venue because she felt local artist and known artist alike should have a place to play when they are ready to showcase some new songs or just old songs, the ones everyone would know. She had been too busy, but in the mix of being busy she had met Talia, and they hit it off pretty much right off the bat.
They talked and got to know one another, and they started dating, until they decided not to see anyone else. Avery, she was happy and just glad she had someone who understood her job and she understood Talia’s. But hearing about her dating history, she knew this was a big deal and she didn’t want to really push her to tell anyone, because honestly, once people knew they would never stop asking questions, and that is something Avery wasn’t used to because she was all about just giving her time and attention to the person she is with and making sure they were happy as she was happy as well. Talia finally told everyone on her social media they were together and the support was overwhelming.
But one day, Talia raised concern that Sean was in Seattle, and Avery was worried for her girlfriend. She didn’t want him to try to ruin what they were building together. It wasn’t ideal, and so that meant Avery had to do everything she could to make sure Talia knew she wasn’t alone and she wouldn’t have to worry about anything. But when he was getting gutsy and breaking into her house and same with Talia’s, Avery suggested they go away, she had a place she booked for them. Happy that Talia agreed, Avery packed a duffle bag and made sure she had everything she needed and went and picked up Talia. They were on their way to the resort that was called Skyline Activity Resort.
Avery drove, as it was only a couple hours north from Seattle, and that meant seeing parts of the state they may not see otherwise. When they pulled in, Avery found a parking spot and she smiled over at Talia excited they were there. “Are you excited for this? The pictures didn’t do this place justice. Lets go check in and then see what they have going on.” Avery climbs from the car and opens the trunk and she walks around and pulls out her bag and helps Talia with hers. “Lets go.”
As they walk in Avery walks up to the front desk. “Check in for Lyons please.” The person at the front desk looks and sees the reservation and hands her two keys and Avery turns around once they checked in and held up the keys. “Top floor. Best view in the place.” Smiling wide hoping this would calm Talia down and they can just have fun and not worry about anything that was going on or worry about anyone. Just focus on one another and have a good time.
𝑴𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 ; he can’t hurt you anymore.
Who ever thought that Talia Sanford’s biggest passion could also be her biggest downfall? Talia was a devoted and talented dancer and singer. She showed interest in dance at a very early age and later got into singing. She was incredible and moved everyone to tears when she would perform but after having an identity crisis as she tried to come to terms with her sexuality, she lost herself. She fell into bad habits such as skipping school and dropped all of her hobbies - including dance. Until one day, she performed in the park when she thought no one was watching. A crowd formed around her, they filmed and posted it and Talia went viral.
She spoke about her struggle to come to terms with who she was and helped many people by sharing her story. What’s more is she found herself again and got back into dancing and singing and began taking acting classes, too. She booked her first big film at 18, went on tour as a supporting act for singing at 20, booked another film at 21 and then another at 24. Her career was really taking off and so, when someone asked her to star in another film where her character was a dancer, she agreed. Little did she know, her love interest in the film would ruin her life.
She shot the film in LA - where she grew up - and saw many warning signs about Sean Nolan. He would grab her and hold her so hard that she bruised. In their kissing scenes, he would actually kiss her and he was quite forceful about it. He would continue the kiss when the director had yelled ‘cut’. The red flags were there, so Talia tried to walk away but Sean became obsessed with her. He started stalking her and Talia tried to get him to stop but the police couldn’t do anything without evidence.
Eventually, Sean left her alone once Talia opened up on social media. Her fans had made his life hell but Talia didn’t want that. She wanted a fresh start away from him so she moved to Seattle, started a new project when she opened a dance studio and signed to a new record label called Billard Music. She was finally happy and then she met @cannyempath and couldn’t be happier.
They had been together for over a year and Talia had finally come clean about their relationship online. She had kept it a secret for quite some time in the fear that Sean would find her, but now she was living in Seattle, she thought she had nothing to worry about. Sean followed her to Seattle and when Talia told Avery that Sean was here, Avery had concerns for her girlfriend’s safety.
Sean began breaking into their houses and they lived in fear. Avery could tell just how stressed Talia was so she had suggested that they get away for the weekend. It was exactly what Talia needed so on Thursday morning, she woke up early, replied to some emails and began packing her bags. She overpacked for everything, so she pulled a small suitcase down and another duffel type bag and began to pack what she thought she would need. They were headed to a resort named Skyline Activity Resort and Talia could not wait for this much needed distraction.

Avery felt for Larissa. It was a lot to take in and things shouldn’t be this way. Avery knew also that sometimes talking to someone was better then bottling it up inside and the two of them can talk about anything, but this was a lot. She had no idea all of this was going on, to this point and the fact that Larissa was struggling because this person hasn’t really given her an indication that they are more then just friends with benefits. That is what it sounded like to Avery.
She listened to more of the story and she was just shocked. She had no idea what to say but she wanted to help Larissa. “You want to know what I think? I think you need to pull back a little and see just how she responds. Every time she calls you to come over, don’t go over there. Just tell her you can’t and that you have something else going on. I just, I don’t want you getting hurt, you know?” It was true, Avery rather not see Larissa hurt and she can take control over whatever is going on. Because it seems like it is one sided and that is never good.
“It is not you trust me. You are a catch and anyone would be happy to call you theirs. I just don’t know. This sounds like a big ass mess and one I just don’t know how to answer. I just don’t like when you feel it is you, when obviously you have done everything right. The question is, what makes her not want to get to know you more?” Taking a drink of her drink, as she wasn’t drinking nearly as fast as she wanted Larissa to be the one that was and she could help her with anything. This is what they do sometimes. “Do you think you guys can have a relationship?”

Avery could read Larissa and knew and didn’t show up for small talk when she doesn’t let Avery know she’s swinging by. Maybe it’s just the world being too much, or it’s just something else. But one thing Avery does know and wants to make sure that Larissa is okay. She wants to have a few drinks and see if there is something she can help Larissa with.
Raising eyebrows at the question and a chuckle slips from Avery. “Wait — rewind that. When did this happen? Okay, now you can lead up to this and not tell me how this happened. And who is this person?” Avery took this news as a shock, but she wanted her best friend happy and seeing as she was struggling, she wanted to ensure she was okay and she would help the best she could.
“So needless to say, it sounds like she’s hiding you. From everyone. You mentioned her sister, are they close and they talk about everything?” Avery was trying to catch up and she took a drink of the drink she got for herself. “So why don’t you tell me everything and I’ll see if I can help. I just — I need to catch up just a tiny bit, as I feel it went from just a hook up to a relationship. Which, I was all for whichever way it went, I went you happy, you know that?”

Avery was finally happy. She had a relationship that she didn’t think she would have, and she was just looking forward to the future, and that has never been her. Then also, she has her bar that is doing well. She had a lot of the same crowd and new people coming in and business was booming. Plus her open mic nights and her sister showing interest in music, it was all just a good thing and she was looking forward to seeing how her next open mic nights go. But when she sees Larissa at the bar, she knew something was on her mind just by the way she was sitting there.
Her night was over, but she had people she could trust to make sure things get cleaned up and she looked around before walking over to the bar and she took a seat next to her best friend. This is why they had a strong friendship. When they needed one another, there were never any questions and they just knew what the other person needed. But she knew Larissa had a lot on her mind and she asked the bartender for two drinks, knowing her best friends favorite drink, she made sure they were making that.
“Why do I feel like you have a lot on your mind?” That being the first thing out of Avery’s mouth. She looked over at her and wanted to makes sure she was okay. “Are you okay at least? Or am I kicking someones ass for you?” A playful smile pulled at Avery’s face before the drinks came and she pushed one in front of Larissa. “I figured we needed drinks, so drink up and maybe we can talk about what is on your mind?”
