FOOD REVIEW #1 - GHOST PEPPER WHOPPER & SPICY ROYALTY CHICKEN SANDWICH - 11/7/22
To cut to the chase, I would consider myself well versed in the foods of Burger King, contrary to the popular opinion I think Burger King is mostly fine, and I try to get whatever new weird shit they throw my way, So I decided to try out this new Ghost Pepper Whopper thing, I emphasize the Ghost Pepper Whopper here as the spicy chicken sandwich I got is hardly worth mentioning, the thing was barley breaded, overloaded with sauce, and had just a pathetic piece of lettuce and tomato on top, so overall that sandwich was just a disappointment but I still ate that garbage. Now, the Ghost Pepper Whopper wasn’t amazing or anything but most of my concerns when a fast food chain throws a ‘ghost pepper’ themed item at me is that the thing will just be totally weaksauce, Taco Bell has tried it, they just don’t deliver on the heat, while I didn’t love the Ghost Pepper Whopper ill say that it at least was hot, and it was mostly filling at the very least, almost overloaded and unbalanced with the peppers themselves and needed more bacon and cheese honestly, a sandwich like it I think needs it’s heat balanced out with cheese, which it just didn’t have enough of, but its far from the worst thing Ive had at a Burger King. Overall do I recommend the Ghost Pepper Whopper, I kinda do? I think if you’re like me and are a fan of heat and like to see what concoctions food chains can cook up in their dungeons I would say at least try it out, the real worst thing about it is its steep price, its sort of a item that you get if you really like trying out weird shit from fast food joints, not worth it to the average person really I would say, its like a 6/10 sandwich. Goes without saying that the Royal Crispy Chicken Sandwich though I wouldn’t recommend, maybe it was just my Burger King specifically that fucked it up and I just need to give it another go, but Im hesitant do to so honestly.
