“God no. That’s not what I’m saying at all. If I happen across anything like that, I’ll have no choice but to act. I can’t walk away in good conscience. What I’m saying is, I’m not technically allowed to do those things yet, and I would get into serious trouble if I did. So until my clearances come through, I can’t actively go looking for people to help, even though I want to. I wish it was as easy as not caring about what happens to me, but I’m here for a very specific purpose and a lot of people back home are counting on me. To get kicked out of the country would be letting them down.”

“So… what? If you happen upon a woman trapped under a car you’re just going to stand there and do nothing just because the government tells you you’re not allowed to help? What about a guy holding up a bank with a gun? You just gonna stroll on by because someone with a fancy ass penguin suit tells you you need papers? That’s bullshit. What’s the point of you people being called heroes if you damn well don’t do something with the title?”

“Stupid and lame? Maybe. But it’s also not my call to make. The fact is as an official operative of the Canadian Government, I have to wait for my clearances to come through, because if I act outside of my jurisdiction without them, I’ll be kicked out of the country and could lose my job and have my suit seized. I didn’t make the rules, but I have to follow them”

“Well see, I’m the head, and an operative of Department H, which is a section of the Canadian government. And national security being the priority that it is everywhere nowadays, they don’t want me doing anything until I’ve been cleared. They want to be sure I’m not a threat. Ridiculous right?”
