Album 2736: Urthboy - Savour
Hes still got it, still doing the thing hes always done, quality storytelling and touching songwriting. The production is notably more modern without losing the trademark down to urth vibe.

Album 2763: Babymetal - The Other One
Its their best album imo, so much energy and momentum. Can we talk about the random psy trance song in the middle? Unexpected, but so so good - they have a knack for songs like that

Album 1982: Ultraista - Ultraista
Ultraista are definitely a band I hope to see live if international live music ever happens again. This album was exactly the kind of music I was missing in my life.

Tin King is a huge song and the rest of the album holds up too.

Album 1855: Sofi Tukker - Treehouse
This marked the triumphant day that I stopped sleeping on Sofi Tukker and their irresistible knack for dance bops.

Album 1876: Birds Of Tokyo - March Fires
This album’s singles cemented Birds Of Tokyo as one of the Australian pop rock bands to be remembered, and one of the few to break into mainstream.

Album 1888: Yours Truly - Self Care
Good album. Makes up for all the years triple j didn’t give Paramore a second thought. I look forward to their future projects and how they improve or defy their formula, the possibilities are endless.

However... the so-so filler tracks on the final album totally obscure what made the singles so great. For example Incapable became the shortest track and got well and truly lost in the mix, and Something More
I suppose the album’s low points just give it more character, even if it isn’t the character I was hoping to hear. Roisin Machine is still one of the many gems in her discography.
Album 1893: Róisín Murphy - Róisín Machine
The four singles (from Incapable onwards) leading up to this album are some of my favourite songs from the last 2 years, they consistently floored me! Their production was decorous and pristine, and that married perfectly to the nuanced dissections of love she expressed powerfully in her mantras. They were like a perfect capsule collection of Roisin Murphy’s discography and life story.

Album 1719: Bloc Party - Intimacy
Intimacy is the most rewarding Bloc Party album. Maximalist production and chaotic rhythms may make it seem unapproachable but its worth it for the emotion, energy, and catchy hooks

Album 1755: Mux Mool - Skulltaste II
Is there anything quite like revisiting an album from your childhood only to find out a direct sequel is being released for it that very week? And its pretty good! How lucky I am

Album 1745: Mux Mool - Skulltaste
Skulltaste is responsible for some of my favourite songs when I was initially getting into music 10 years ago. I’m glad I can look back on it so fondly and enjoy it even more now.

Album 1809: A.G. Cook - 7G
This 7EP’s appalling craftsmanship makes me question why anyone acknowledges this man’s music in the first place. I’m sure his real debut album out soon will be better at least.

Album 1811: six impala - WFLYTD
Don’t sleep on this one!
An album that crosses every border between metalcore, hyperpop, hardcore dance, sadboi beats, obnoxious Rustie style trap, and DENTISTRY? With a 9 minute asdfmovie style multi-skit at the end that simultaneously makes no sense and total sense but still ties everything together like a ribbon on a tooth?
11/10 would floss again.

Album 1833: Dua Lipa & The Blessed Madonna - Club Future Nostalgia
It feels like a real club set, giving us the WHOLE vibe and nothing but the vibe! And its fun to hear REAL reinterpretations of all the songs from Future Nostalgia I know and Love (Again).
There are some real choices throughout CFN that bring it down (i wont elaborate), and I don’t see any individual tracks being essential in the future, at least not moreso than the original singles from Future Nostalgia.
