a/n : sad calum makes me sad
o You would be sitting on your sofa, maybe even watching a movie and you’d hear a knock at the door
o You open it and there stands Calum
o His hairs a mess and his eyes are all swollen are bloodshot
o He’d just be a mess
o “Y/N…we need to talk”
o you would just know
o he was here to break up with you
o you let him in and you sit on the sofa
o he wouldn’t even look at you
o he’d be fiddling with his fingers and bouncing his knee
o “I can’t do this anymore Y/N/N”
o then he would just start crying
o his head would be in his hands and your heart would just break
o you loved him and the mixture of him breaking up with you and crying right in front of you was truly heartbreaking
o “Cal, please just talk to me”
o “I just can’t keep doing this to you”
o you would immediately think he was cheating on you
o you knew that he was popular with the ladies
o especially considering he was in a popular band
o but you never thought he would cheat on you
o “tell me…”
o Calum would start getting frustrated
o Like he would pull his hair and start pacing back and forth
o But he would completely ignore what you were saying
o “just tell me that you cheated on me so this can all just end quicker”
o now this would get his attention
o he would have this look on his face
o as if you had just killed duke right in front of him
o “you think I cheated on you?I would never cheat on you”
o at this point you were just confused
o you didn’t know why Calum was breaking up with you
o or why he was so sad
o but you needed answers
o “then why are you breaking up with me?”
o “I can’t fully love if you if I can’t fully love myself”
o again he would just start crying
o he’d just keep on apologising and saying that you deserved better
o and this would make you start tearing up
o you had no clue that he ever felt this way and you felt guilty for not knowing
o you would reassure him that it wasn’t his fault and that he had nothing to apologise for
o “you shouldn’t feel guilty about putting yourself first”
o pulling him into a massive hug and just crying
o because although you both know that someday soon you’ll be together again
o it doesn’t make the heartbreak hurt any less
