one time in english class we had to draw scenes from The Great Gatsby for an assignment. in mine, Nick was replaced with Spider-Man, Gatsby was constantly in the raising-a-glass pose from the meme (and began and ended every sentence with "old sport"), and Daisy was replaced with Princess Daisy from Mario.

i was one of only four students to get a 100% on the assignment and everyone else failed it horribly.

tumblr decided not to notify me that i was pinged here but yes! i have checked this and mine is off :) i encourage fellow artists to do the same. that being said, opting out doesn't guarantee that third parties won't just steal your stuff anyway... there are filters to protect your art, but i don't know how to protect music from this.

i can't wait for 20 years down the line when someone gives WordGirl the DuckTales treatment and gives it a 3-season story-driven reboot that appeals to both kids and a slightly older demographic that the internet obsesses over for like a year before the fandom dwindles down to like 20 people again

hey everyone! reminder that the first of three Aurora tracks goes up this Saturday at noon EST! each subsequent song will also go up at noon EST on their respective Saturdays-- the three of them will be releasing in a row, so January will be a very Aurora-ful month for me :D

actually the closest thing we have to a supervillain in modern society is probably, depending on who you ask, either trump or musk. and nobody takes either of them seriously. so. point proven.
