   He could not see the grin, but instead, felt it reverberate through Leonel’s words. To others, this would disturb them. The Beggar? He was far long gone. He cracked a toothy grin of his own. Two rows of yellowed, cracked, and jagged teeth flashed back at the other, not a care in the world. When he spoke, there was a gutteral note. “Monstrosity, eh? Yeah, yeah… that’s how I like it… why’s I think he should hang less around you and around more of me.” 

       𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐒, 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐖𝐀𝐒 a nuisance. Incorrigible ? So it would seem. Indecent ? By appearance, certainly. Insane ? Most definitely . 

Leonel kicked as a stray pebble, the sound skittering across the woods’s overgrown path and into a nearby bush. He did it only to watch and see if this Beggar’s attention would be pulled momentarily towards it or if his ears would twitch in its direction like some sort of dog. 

He sneered when he replied, “   I don’t know where you got the notion he hangs around. Much like you are now, he is more so a continuously unpleasant encounter. Do you quarrel with that man so much that you must spread it upon us other unlucky individuals to have met him ?  ”

Though his smile was faint, his eyes held all the mischievousness needed when he answered, “   Bored again, your highness ? Here I thought the bloodbath not even a fortnight ago would satisfy such .... carnal urges. Well ... I am at your disposal if you need anything .     ”

updated my pinned message. i’m still active on Leo and going to be active but i’m basically running a multi/muse hub so i can keep track of the many blogs i do have. i’d appreciate it if you would all follow me @numinousdread if you still want to rp, that way when i rb memes or post a starter call, if we don’t already have a thread going i can make one happen. :) the post will be created here for our convenience. i’m just a busy worker bee so it helps my sanity to know my mutuals in one place and i love my bborne rpc dearly so ! hope to see you there !

Deadpan serious. This bout of misplaced stoicism lasts but a moment — he chuckles then. Rather than malice, Antonín merely harbours a playful teasing intent, smiling whilst waving the idea off.  “I jest…”  A dramatic pause. More mischief. “Although I would not discard the possibility entirely.” 

Yet, all dry humour aside, he does intend to provide an answer.

“I would guess she means that you should not so easily offer the metaphorical water of your affection, in the manner of an open fountain. A fountain is, too, a shallow reservoir; the opposite of a deep well. Instead, others should strive to obtain this precious water from the truer depths of your heart.”

𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐇𝐈𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 with an equally deadpan expression, his eyes flicking over to look at him a long, silent moment.

“   ... You think so ?   ”

Then Antonin chuckles and Leo’s mouth curves into its familiar smugness, closing his eys as he reclines into his plush armchair. Ah, the comfort of a good and humorous friend. Well, good as in loyal as far as these two go.

Still, he doesn’t expect the genuine answer that follows, and finds his mind spiraling into the intricate damask patterns adorning the chambers as he hears them. As much as his young and still tender heart longs for such words to hold meaning to him, Leonel simply does not believe it. Another beat of silence passes before Leonel sighs and opens his eyes, stretching his legs and fixing the tights drawn up into the hem of his trousers beneath his knees. “  You make it sound entirely romantic .  ”

A huff of laugh leaves him, “   I think she simply meant I have none to give. Really, you think she would love me so much as that little dog she parades everywhere in her arms ? It sickens me, you know .   ”

Had he been staring so blatantly at his distinguished blade all evening to warrant such a tempting whisper from his Highness ? Leonel doesn't take his eyes off, but he does lean back to whisper conspiratorially,  “   Yes ... I wonder for how long he will keep it.  ”

“  Another hour , give or take, and I may have left without you.   ” Leonel tossed his braid over his shoulder, the red ribbon holding what it could of the shag of his hair finally snagging on the fabric of his shoulder. “  What took so long ?  ”
