In 2nd grade I experienced a "golden moment" with my mentor and now Director of Education for Oakland, David Silver. He took my class and I on a field trips to UC Berkeley, CAL State East Bay, etc. it was then that I realized that a person like me from the hood and low income can also attain a college education! At 10years old I began to design (with David) a school that we would later name : Think College Now.
