Will and Bedelia's catfight is by far the funniest part of the third season, but the fact that he gets the last word by releasing Hannibal is such a peak Will Graham move. He and Bedelia are constantly making bride and wife references and clawing to claim that top spot, it's the one thing that Bedelia can even hold over him, but then Will basically turns around and says 'how about let's ask Hannibal, hm?' and Bedelia shits herself. He's such a bitch.

As a kid haven't we all wanted to fulfill our childish fantasies and dreams no matter what? But hey did we ever pause to think of the unintended consequences of our dreams? Nope! We charge forward but as we grow up and learn how cruel the world is, it becomes harder to fulfill even the simplest of such wishes.

Witch Hat Atelier felt like reconnecting with that part of myself from childhood so full of dreams and whimsy. The tone of the beginning of story felt something not just I but we all could relate to. Coco is such a wholesome and headstrong character, giving hope and strength to others. I absolutely adore her since the start.

But before I move further into character analysis. CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT THE BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN MAGIC SYSTEM IN THIS MANGA?????

Its actually frigging insane to me how well detailed and thought out it is. Think about it for a second.

Anyone can do magic !!

The implications of this statement are terrifying yet temptous at the same time. And boy oh boy does the manga do a DAMN AWESOME job of exploring both sides of this truth. The story of Romonon is the best chilling example of what happens when mankind is given too much power and starts to crumble from within. Its chilling how the gold statues are a dreadful reminder for witches. AND MAN THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED WHEN POOR COCO GAVE THE STATUES SOME WARMTH AND THEY STARTED TO MELT I WAS BLOWN AWAY 😭😭😭

WHA explores and shows you a good balance which exists between the wholesome yet much much darker aspects in cases like these. Eunni's incident had me on the edge i was fucking praying for this boy to escape the justice knights. While their ideology is uber strict allowing for no exceptions, i disliked them at first but sooner i realised much later.. why they have to be this stringent.

Currently I'm reading Custas's part right now and its fucking heartbreaking how deeply our protagonist's simple wish of making people happy with magic is being brought into question. You could heal people with magic, make illnesses vanish, stop calamities, save so much more lives by teaching people or helping them freely. But in this same chapter, and I repeat, the author is a fucking genius how they show you the dangerous side of thoughtlessly showcasing magic, which drives home that how dangerous magic is in reality.

These chapters were incredible for me. I don't blame Tartah for posing the question of "why can't we help people if we have the power to do it?" The temptation grows stronger and right now I would be inclined to agree with him. Coco too feels deeply conflicted now.

Is magic really as beautiful and whimsical as she thought? Does it really make people happy or drive them to despair?

The despairing answer of reality of how absolute power corrupts absolutely is saddening YET a child-like part of me believes.

Such scenes make my eyes sparkle as much as Coco's and deep down I want to believe, in the right hands, it can bring so much happiness to people. I was smiling as much as her in this scene.

As for uhh characters i don't want to say too much? Coz im like halfway through the manga. Miiiight make another post about that but right now my favorite characters are definitely Coco, Qifrey and Tetia! Custas has grown on me alot too, im looking forward to what happens in this arc which is gonna go darker i fear.

Religious Imagery in Karma P.1

THIS. THIS BEAUTY. THIS MARVEL represents jesus. HOWEVER, why does Jesus have a womens body? well thats because it represents Sua, or atleast her sacrifice. How she was a god, a religous figure that sacrificed herself for what Mizi saw as the future of humanity (same as Jesus). The thorns on her hands represents stigmata, the wounds suffered by christ on the cross, one nail in each hand. This alludes to Suas sacrifice, such as christ sacrificed himself on the cross. We also see the sacred heart of Jesus depicted, covered in thorns. A heart with thorns, often depicted as the Sacred Heart of Jesus, symbolizes Jesus's suffering, love, and sacrifice for humanity. The thorns represent the crown placed on Jesus's head during his crucifixion, signifying the pain and humiliation he endured. The heart itself being so exposed could represent Suas emotional sensitivity, her Heart (the literal name of her sub song) being out for anyone to hurt. The entire figure alludes to a sacrifice (stigmata) made out of love (sacred heart) despite the extreme pain it took to go through said sacrifice (thorns) seems to align with Suas entire character.
