Arcs Infinitum: Prologue

Caedmon walked into his normal rental room in Limsa Lominsa and threw his Grimoire onto the bed.  His gaze pulled over to the desk and he saw his little leather bound journal laying on top of a similar size black book covered in blue inlay.  He sighed.  It was a breath mixed with excitement over the prospect of accessing what was in that black book and frustration over what he had to give up.

He stripped off his clothes as he walked over to his armoire.  He pulled out the pieces he needed to put on first, and then strapped his armor into place.   Doing a double take to make sure everything was fit as it should he grabbed his favorite blade and shield and snapped them into place.

His attire in place Caedmon walked over to the desk and slipped the brown journal into a pocket on his hip.  He grabbed the blue book and unsnapped a latch on the front.  As he did the blue inlay along the surface of the book flared with a soft cyan light.  He felt his aether and memories pulled into the books pages for a moment before the sensation subsided.

He had a rush of memories strike him as he got became accustomed to the change in status quo.  It took him a moment to flip the pages about to an entry near the front.  The books ink flowed and ebbed and an image of a desert filled with light giving plants appeared.  Notes covered the pages left by an Allag researcher.

“The Heart of Tiferet, you’re going to be mine.”

He smiled a smirk of satisfaction he only had when he was starting a new hunt.  Snapping the book shut and jamming it into the same pocket that held his journal, Caedmon made off with purpose.  His destination the Astral Agents base of operations, his purpose to get a crew together, and his goal like always... Treasure.
