Yay! I'm so happy you've found animal crossing and are having a fun time! Welcome to the community!

animal crossing is genuinely such a wonderful series,, i bought new horizons (my first game of the franchise) just earlier this year and it’s been such an amazing experience

i love all the little things in life, and this game helps remind of them — whether it be swimming around the river mouths instead of taking the bridge because i think it’s fun, or just watching the flowers sway with the wind

the first time it rained and i caught a snail i got so happy i almost cried. i like saying hi to sable and tommy every morning to let them know i didn’t forget about them. pinky said she was thinking of moving away today — i made sure to let her know that i’ll be cheering her on in her journey to become a pop star.

i could talk on and on about all the little things that keep me going (i probably will in a different post), but the point is i know money can be tight — $60 for a game (if you even have a switch in the first place) is a lot

but i genuinely think starting up this game for the first time was one of the best decisions i’ve made in a long time

• Died on the plane ride to Cryptid, to which Tom Nook took her soul (and the souls of a few animal people) and gave her her own limbo plane to live in.

• Eventually with Tom Nook's help, Cookie was able to return to life with the promise she would help bring peace to other lost souls and give them a place to rest.

Muffy (She/Her)

• Died in the 1980s. Her and her band did a show in a graveyard during a thunderstorm, and she was touching metal when a bolt of lightning hit close by, shocking her and stopping her heart.

Ribbot (He/Him/It/Its)

• Ribbot was created by aliens and sent to earth to see if it was hospitable for them. He was damaged upon landing on Cryptid until Cookie brought him to Petri to fix. When he came too, he was fully convinced he was a living breathing being.

Sherb (He/Him/Bug/Bugself)

🔞 • died in the 1930s during the great depression. His mother and father abused Sherb for being Schizophrenic (he "talked to bugs" as he calls it). Eventually death was a mix between starvation and an untreated head injury.

Shino (She/Her/They/Them)

• Is the daughter of Mephistopheles who is a demon who rules the eighth circle of hell, making Shino both a demon and a princess.

• Fell in love with the material plane and its culture. When she moved to Cryptid, she fell in love with Cookie and the two are now dating.

Flurry (She/Her)

• Died in 2020. Was friends with a librarian who let Flurry stay in the building after closing. One night during a snow storm, Flurry was trapped in the building as the power shut off. By the time she was found she had died of Hyperthermia with a love book clutched to her chest.

• Died in the 1720s. Was a vampire who planned to marry his lover (Julian) before his lover perished. The next morning their house was set ablaze and after deciding between death from fire and death from the sun, Roscoe stepped into the sun for the first and last time.

• READ RIBBOT FIRST. Once Ribbot was fixed the aliens received signals that not only was earth a good fit for them, but that Ribbot was well loved and cared for. The aliens set course for earth as they decided to give Cookie a present. A lab crafted being made from bits of their planet and some glow moss. This being was Ione and she was intended to be a friend made just for her.

• Ione caught feelings for Cookie even after Cookie made her relationship with Shino known.

Drago (He/She/Him/Her)

• Drago is a god who's parents stripped most of his powers away for being "too lazy and irresponsible". He is still MUCH more powerful than a mortal but he is only a fraction of his usual self. Drago doesn't mind much, he is just happy to have new friends and experiences.
