My little boy came and laid by me in bed after we had already tucked him in. He said momma I wish I could stay in here because I feel safe in here. I laid there for a while thinking about how safe I feel when I’m connected to God, when im continually feeding that life line to him. I feel safe, I feel at peace, like I can think freely without being anxious, like I have this protection wrapped…

If you’ve been to hell and back, keep going. If you wake up and your days are hard, keep going. If you want to quit because the obstacles are hard, keep going. If you have to fight every minute of every day keep going. Growth doesn’t happen in easy situations, it happens when the pressure is against us. So have your arms wide open to whatever comes and stop fighting what your destined to walk…

He’s Always Living “The Uncommon Life” And Teaching Me To Live It Also
It doesn’t take much to be a kind person. We were sitting a a stop sign and this older gentlemen’s truck kind of just stalled out, he had a few cars backing up behind him, one guy in a rage honked his horn and flew around him and without even thinking like he normally does, my husband puts our car in park and proceeds to get out and go over and check on this older gentlemen, who I might add had a…

Let The Light In
Darkness can’t drive out darkness, only light can do that. Sitting in a quiet place today. Where I’m usually surrounded by the sound of music, just quiet. I had initially gone in there to practice some songs on the piano, but nothing was working out, none of it felt fulfilling today. I found myself getting irritable and it was gaining momentum quickly. I finally got to the point to where I just…

Count Me In
So many nights I use to lie awake and ask God to delivery me from the things I was going through. It wasn’t until here recently that I started to ask God that, if this was my cup, then please give me strength through the storm. You see if God never sent the storm, Peter wouldn’t have been afraid to jump out of the ship, when the sea isn’t shifting we’re not afraid, but God sent the storm so Peter…

So many times we judge our situations based off of our emotions at that very moment. Dork forget that God is always working for you and not against you. He is making beauty out of your ashes. He will use every bit of everything you’ve been through to grow your character and make you into who he wants you to be. Sometimes we have to look back to look forward. When your world is crashing down…

I CHOOSE TO SEE MIRACLES.
I went through a spurt a few weeks ago of not being able to breathe. All day long every day I just for some reason could not catch my breath. I had gotten covid about 8 weeks ago and I though I had gotten through it, then a few weeks later.. BAM!! Breathing problems hit and it completely paralyzed me. If I could think of one health problem I wouldn’t wish on anyone it would definitely be problems…

VALENTINES DAY This Valentine’s Day I cannot help but be forever thankful and in love with Jesus. He saw me when I was at my worst and he lifted me out of the darkness into the light, he placed my feet on a firm foundation and he steadied me as I walked along.

Perfect love casts out fear. I could write a book on fear. I’ve spent many sleepless nights making up all kinds of scenarios in my mind of things that cousin happen.

The life worth living
I HATE writing about things that I don’t even like to talk about, but I feel like the Holy Spirit is all over this , no matter how much I run from it. PAIN IS HARD, for most people, not for me. Pain for me is like applying icy hot ointment to sore muscles. Most people it would loosen up. My first initial reaction to it is, “this stuff is cold” then once it penetrates the blood stream and muscles,…

“Yeah I Hope when we get to heaven, he looks at us all like kids, shameless and painless and perfect and ageless, forgives all the wrong that we did.” Remember You Young-Thomas Rhett
I think at the end of this song he was singing about God. But it makes me think about my papa. He wouldn’t tell you himself, but when we were growing up, we were a bunch of heathens. We probably ran him through…

I’m tired of not living life. Tired of letting my flesh control what I do and how I think. I’m not doing it anymore. I’m not going to be afraid. I’m going to get up and walk with God and live my life. I can no longer base what I’m doing on how I feel. I’m waisting my life away trying to be the healer of my own body when I need to trust my healing to God. I’ll do what I can and let God do the…

The world we live in is full of distractions. One moment I am walking in a still, quiet place surrounded by Jesus.

There’s life at both ends of that red dirt road. This past weekend I went with a group of my family to pick pumpkins at a pumpkin patch for our church’s fall festival.
