JOHN COOPER CLARKE
My favourite shoot to date. Since I was a teenager, John has been a hero of mine. For those who don’t know him, I implore you to check out his work. A trailblazing wordsmith and iconic performer who exploded onto the 1970s punk scene, John has since penned some of the most distinctive poetry of our time. Anyone who grew up in Northern England or comes from a working class background will know exactly how much his words mean. At 71 years old, John has written his long-awaited autobiography ‘I WANNA BE YOURS’ which will be published by Picador in October. It was one of the greatest honours of my career to shoot his portrait for the cover last year and will be a day I’ll remember forever. A massive thank you to Stuart Wilson and everyone at Picador for their support and letting me shoot on film.

TRELLICK TOWER PT.1
An uncompromising concrete giant, Trellick Tower has rebelled against the West London skyline for almost half a century. Having lived in its vicinity for several years, I’ve walked past it literally thousands of times, always in awe of its brutal, cinematic beauty. Over the past year I’ve photographed it inside and out, at almost every time of day, on almost every format possible. This is the first part of a series of 24 images, shot on a mixture of 120 & 35mm film, DSLR, compact digital, drone, Polaroid and iPhone.
