The Curly Wolf
Diesel fuel, burning tires, and Fernet-Branca…that would be the aroma coming out of your speakers if you could smell the music. The Curly Wolf delivers a hard charging alt-country rock sound that comes from a variety of musical and cultural influences. Cash, Hank, Waylon…Rancid, The Misfits, Queens of The Stone Age…Trucks, Choppers, Vans…these are the common threads that brought these boys together to create an aggressive new music alternative to today’s standard country music.
Born on a Northern California ranch, Grant Benziger picked up the guitar at an early age and quickly developed his skills. He discovered punk and heavy metal through the local skate punk scene and immediately started putting his own bands together. At the ripe age of 14 he was fronting punk bands and playing bars and clubs he normally wouldn’t have been allowed to step foot in as a minor. His diesel-trucking brother soon showed him the ways of traditional and underground country music. Grant instantly took to the sounds of Hank Williams, Pasty Cline, Johnny Cash and many other old-time country legends. This influence began to meld with his current style and he began to develop his own aggressive rocking country sound.
Mike Bouchard spent most of his adolescent and college years in Georgia where he played in local punk and rock bands. In high school he quickly advanced to Captain of the drum line where he developed much of the chops he still uses in the band. After a move to Los Angeles, Mike opened Gasser Lounge in Redondo Beach- the place to go if you like your music loud and your drinks stiff! The bar would later play a key role in the creation and development of The Curly Wolf. Mike’s style is loud and heavy. He is the backbone to The Curly Wolf sound.
Matt Pliskin was born and raised in Los Angeles County’s South Bay. Growing up in an area responsible for bands like Black Flag, The Descendents, Circle Jerks, and Pennywise, Matt couldn’t help but be heavily influenced by the genre. He followed in the footsteps of these influences playing bass in various hardcore punk bands around the South Bay. It was through the sounds of rockabilly and pyschobilly that he realized the power of the upright bass. Matt and Grant attended the same music school in LA, but only linked up after answering an ad Grant posted looking for likeminded musicians. This was the start of The Curly Wolf.
From Nirvana and Metallica to The Wu-Tang Clan and NOFX, Billy’s musical influences run the gamut in punk, metal, and hip-hop. Billy played guitar in local punk and metal bands for over a decade. One day he heard some Bill Monroe and immediately fell in love with the mandolin and became fanatical about learning to master it. As a fan of the Curly Wolf Billy really wanted to play with the guys, so he offered his services and started joining their set from time to time. It was an immediate and natural fit. He continued to play more and more Curly Wolf shows, so much so that they decided to make it official and the band now had a full time mandolin player. Billy’s aggressive yet beautiful (Mike likes to call it twinkly) sound on the mandolin really rounds out the Curly Wolf sound.
As previously mentioned, Mike’s Gasser Lounge played a key role in the formation of this group. Mike had received a copy of a unique cover Grant and Matt had made of “Die, Die, Die” by the Misfits. Mike instantly loved this version with Grant pick’n the banjo and Matt slappin’ the upright bass. Mike decided to have them play the 3rd Anniversary party for his bar. Instantly a crowd favorite, this was the beginning of not only great new friendships but a new musical movement in the South Bay. Like the legendary punk bands that came before them, The Curly Wolf is rallying against the status quo. They are creating a harder, more aggressive style of country music that pays homage to its roots while trying to push the genre forward.

Ruby Velle
Deep, raw funk. Stax-style Southern soul. Uplifting Motown-channeling anthems. Atlanta’s Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics are the heirs to the thrones of the old-school masters. But they’re much more than just a group of revivalists trying to create a period piece. Powerhouse singer Velle and her band will settle for nothing less than bringing these classic sounds glimmering into the now with a fresh, new contemporary sheen.
It’s this inviting and accessible bravado that has scored the band critical acclaim from outlets such as The New York Daily News, MTV, Paste and more. And in addition to their critical success, at a time when record sales are at an all- time industry low, the completely independent, DIY-minded Velle and the Soulphonics sold a quarter-million downloads of their single, “My Dear” on iTunes, landing them in the top 30 on Billboard’s Heatseeker charts and at a stunning #4 on the iTunes R&B charts when their debut album It’s About Time was released in 2012.
The group has shared bills with megastars and indie press darlings alike, including Erykah Badu, The XX, Goodie Mob, Gary Clark Jr., Animal Collective, Feist, Bush, The Wailers, Dumpstaphunk, Lee Fields, Bombino and Kendrick Lamar.
After an explosive set opening for Motown’s legendary “The Temptations,” the band looks towards the release of their sophomore album “State of All Things.” In addition they will close out the year by releasing several singles.

Draw The Line
Hailing from Boston, Mass., The city that boasts the World Championship Red Sox, The New England Patriots, the musical groups Boston, members of Journey, J.Geils, and Peter Wolf, Godsmack, of course Aerosmith. Adding to the subculture of this city is Draw The Line the Aerosmith Tribute Band. The bands career, now spanning almost fifteen years, has taken them all over the world. The band has performed in all but two U.S. states. They have also been to Peurto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other U.S. territories. They have toured to other countries such as England, Canada, South America and Japan just to name a few. With over 2000 performances in over 100 cities, Draw The Line is sure soon to be in a venue near you! During a January 1998 interview, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler singled out Draw The Line as the best of the Aerosmith tribute bands. On Boston's biggest Rock radio station 104.1 WBCN, disc jockey Nick Carter quoted "I've seen Draw The Line! They ARE Aerosmith!" The band is popular on the college circuit as well, and has been interviewed by several Boston-based college radio stations, such as Brandeis University's 100.1 WBRS. DTL has also had featured articles in international fanzines, Boston area newspapers such as The Patriot Ledger, The Boston Globe, The Mariner papers, etc.
They are the only tribute band who has been featured on the Official Aerosmith Website as well as that of Aerosmith's Official Fan Club. With support and accolades from Aerosmith themselves, as well as journalists, top DJs, and fans worldwide, its no wonder that Draw The Line is recognized as a one-of-a-kind. "A professional show band in a league of their own amongst tribute acts, and of a caliber that is unparalleled in the tribute genre" says reporter, Joe Reardon of the Mariner Newspaper Group. The group's fanatical popularity was evident the evening of January 1, 1999, when it played at the former Mama Kins Music Hall in Boston in front of a sold out crowd of 800. Among other famous faces at that show was Steven Tyler's daughter, model Mia Tallarico. Steven Tyler quoted his daughter the next day as saying "Dad, have you seen this? From where I was standing, I couldn't believe how much they (Draw The Line) looked and sounded just like you!" Draw The Line's lead singer, Neill Byrnes, won a Steven Tyler look-alike contest on 107.3 WAAF, another one of Boston's biggest rock radio stations. Even MTV agrees to the easily mistaken identity of Steven Tyler. So MTV invited Neill to fly to New York so they could film his magical impersonation for a promotional video. Even more recently Byrnes has been approached by VH1 to appear on they're new program, Rock Candy. If you love Aerosmith, this is the tribute show You Don't Wanna Miss!

With several high profile performances as well as an abundance of major regional awards, Ashley is on top of her game and shows no signs of slowing down! Ashley has performed for audiences as large as 40,000 people, and in 2015 her song “Angels” received a first round Grammy nomination. In May of 2016, Ashley released a fourth album (“He’s Crazy”) of all original music and immediately caught the attention of Boston’s premiere radio station WBMX (MIX 104.1 FM). Calling her new album “a Masterpiece”, Matthew Reid (Music Director and on-air personality at WBMX) stated: “My favorite album of 2015? Adele’s 25. My favorite album of 2016, so far? Boston singer/songwriter and Open Mixfest 2014 Winner, Ashley Jordan’s He’s Crazy.” Ashley received the unique honor at WBMX of having every song on her new album featured on the air daily for a full week in June, 2016 prior to a world-wide release.
The full story…
Ashley got her start at the age of 13 as a busker (street-performer) on the mean streets of Boston, MA. Her guitar playing, vocals and original music gained attention from local venues who noted the crowds that gathered to listen to her perform. She soon moved from the streets to the stage.
In February of 2010 at the age of 17, Ashley released her first album of original music titled “Simple Love” and quickly found herself featured in many of New England’s most popular independent music publications. Just a year later, she released her second album “Liquid Words” and debuted her new unique mix of original music. Ashley appeared on the cover of Metronome Magazine and was selected for their coveted “Top Twenty Hit List” for two years in a row! Doug Sloan of Metronome stated that “Ashley Jordan has grown to be a multi-talented tour de force. At nineteen years old she’s twice the songwriter than most, as she sings her beautiful crafted tales of life and love with a gorgeous voice that’s filled with stirring emotion . . . with two top notch albums to her credit, a powerfully emotive voice and stellar song crafting skills, Ashley Jordan is destined for stardom.”
In late 2013, Ashley filmed a music video for her original song "If I Had You" which was selected to be televised regularly on the Nashville Network (The Heartland) beginning in November in the "Rising Star: Top Ten videos of the Year”. Shortly thereafter, Ashley released her third album titled "Nothing In Doubt" and Boston pop-radio station Mix 104.1 selected her song "If I Had You" as one of it’s "Best of 2013", touting Ashley's newest album as "a great album...standing up to Nashville's best."
After competing against musicians from across New England in 2014, Ashley was selected by judges at one of Boston's Hit Radio Stations to open their annual summer MIXFEST Concert at the Hatch Shell in Boston. With an audience of 40,000 in attendance, Ashley dazzled concertgoers with her original songs.
Ashley achieved many notable awards in 2015, most importantly her single "Angels" received a first round Grammy nomination in the pop/solo category. She was also selected by Pulse Magazine as the "Best Female Vocalist" and "Best Solo/Acoustic Act" of 2015 and performed at pre/post parties for artists such as Garth Brooks, Sam Hunt and Chase Rice. Ashley also received a sponsorship from Eastern States Eyewear of NYC and was named the “New Face of Exces Eyewear”, for an exclusive line of designer sunglasses.
The outlook for 2016 is bright for Ashley! After winning four coveted titles at this year’s 2016 Pulse Magazine Awards, Ashley also completed her fourth album of all original music and has received high praise: “Ashley’s new album is SO GOOD that I’m featuring it every evening this week” … “You don’t understand how good this album is. Yet. But you will…”

Fil Pacino
Though music travels through an ever-changing cultural and technological landscape, the art and artistry of the music itself still radiates from the same old core. Songs that inspire with rhythms that move us, lyrics whose poetry engages and relates to us, musicianship that binds, shapes and elevates it and with it, us.
Singer, songwriter, guitarist and journeyman performer Fil Pacino rests on these age old laurels while fluidly navigating multiple genres on his 2013 debut solo release Death By Lions. Through deeply personal and introspective lyrics Pacino’s delivery is as powerful in stripped down acoustic driven arrangements as canvassed across a full throttle band. Pacino’s flexible nature as a songsmith is no coincidence, born from his 300+ performances per year ranging from solo acoustic and small combos to raucous full band rock shows.
While establishing himself as a weekly and even daily local name throughout Boston’s active south shore music underground, Pacino has done equal time on larger stages from regional mainstays The Middle East and Paradise to larger venues like Boston’s historic Great Woods, Gilette Stadium and as a featured performer at numerous 92.9FM sponsored events.
Pacino is a professional endorsee of Reverend Guitars and counts among his many musical influences a broad spectrum spanning Jeff Buckley, Lewis Taylor, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Prince, Nikka Costa and countless others. Pacino continues work on his follow up release slated for late 2016/2017 but contends that new material “usually hits me at inconvenient times …”

Tess Henley
Soul singer-songwriter Tess Henley began Suzuki piano training at age three, and by age five was dissecting harmonies that even her mother – a singer by trade – found difficult. Multi-Grammy winning producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Bonnie Raitt) recently selected Henley from over 10,000 performers as the winner of Guitar Center’s National Artist Discovery Program.
“She’s unlike any artist that’s out there now, a world class singer with a true gift” says Was. Billboard describes her music as a classy brand of soulful R&B that could hold up in any era of Was’ storied career.
Was produced Henley’s latest EP, “Wonderland”, tracked at Hollywood’s Henson Recording Studios (birthplace of celebrated projects like Carole King’s Tapestry and Joni Mitchell’s Blue). Acclaimed musicians included drummer James Gadson (Beck, Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers), James Hutchinson on bass (Bonnie Raitt, BB King), guitarist Mark Goldenberg (Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt), Mike Finnigan on Hammond Organ (Jimi Hendrix, Michael McDonald), percussionist Michito Sanchez (Train, Aretha Franklin), string arranger Davide Rossi (Ed Sheeran, Coldplay) and Henley on keyboards, vocals and background vocals.
youtube
As Was describes the project, “Sometimes magic just happens, you can’t really legislate that. There’s no producer in the world who can make that happen. All you can do is try to set up a situation where if lightning strikes the room, you’ve got the tape rolling. And lightning struck. It was a really charmed session, and Tess was amazing, didn’t miss a note all day.”
Henley honed her live performance by sharing the stage with folks like Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Boy George & Culture Club, Eric Hutchinson, Jon McLaughlin, Bettye Lavette & more, while continuing to build her profile as a songwriter. She made her national television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2015, where she performed a pair of songs from “Wonderland.” Henley’s songs have won over $100,000 in awards and honors over the last few years.

Jane n' the Jungle
Jane N' The Jungle is a female fronted alternative rock band from Phoenix, AZ. Known for their electric live performances, the band's mission is to impact the world through music. JNTJ is becoming known as one of Phoenix's fastest growing bands and local opening act for touring bands passing through the valley. With a sound that can only be described as truly unique, JNTJ has pulled influences from a multitude of eras and genres. The classic story telling of Jordan White, leaves listeners aching for more. Her delivery goes from soothing and beautiful in tracks, "Walking Cleopatra," and, "Don't Say," to searing and powerful with songs such as, "Smoke and Dust," and, "Shake Me Out."
JNTJ has shown great versatility in their ability to bond with any audience in venues ranging from the legendary Whiskey a Go Go, to South by Southwest, to the technological marvel of Livewire Scottsdale and many others. Not only has the band shared the stage with legacy acts such as Powerman 5000, John Michael Montgomery, and Kicking Harold, but also have spear-headed a new generation of artists. Night Riots, From Ashes to New, Lacey Sturm and A Silent Film are just a few of the up and coming artists JNTJ has had the pleasure of working with.
Jane N' The Jungle is currently putting the finishing touches on their highly anticipated debut album, and is set for a Fall 2016 release. The band recently debuted it's first music video, "Shake Me Out," directed by Rachael Smith of Ray2 Photography.

Dig the Kid
When Dig the Kid sings about living life on the edge, this hard-rocking power trio knows what they’re talking about. Forming a little over three years ago, founder Lisa Mongelli (drums) hooked up with fellow Academy of Art University graduates Cory Todd (singer/guitarist), and Ian Lasater (bass). DTK built a following the old-fashioned way – through dynamic live performances and steady touring – when they were chosen to contribute the end title track to the recently released big budget remake of Katheryn Bigelow’s 1991 surf cult classic, Point Break.
