Nike's Air Force 1 Low Arrives With Pearl Studs

The upcoming release features a smooth leather base with tumbled leather overlays. An AF1 branded leather tag is stitched onto the mesh tongue and Swoosh-branded pearl fixtures are featured on the medials, laterals, and below the laces. A crisp white sole unit completes the clean monochromatic design.
While Nike has gone for bejeweled looks in the past through collaborative Swarovski pairs, it’s the first GR release in recent memory made with gemstone attachments.
Take a scroll through the official images above, and expect the pairs to arrive soon on Nike’s website and select retailers.

Nike has an Air Force 1 sneaker that’s perfect for your grandpa
With streetwear becoming more mainstream, Nike’s Air Force 1 has gotten a new reputation. The all-white staple, long embraced by sneakerheads who owned “one to rock and one to stock,” is now beloved by basic white girls, resellers, and even Steve Harvey.
Yet even at peak popularity (and fresh out the box status), the AF1 is still considered a casual shoe: Harvey himself loves the silhouette, but routinely opts for leather loafers when filming Family Feud or taking his wife out to dinner. Accordingly, Nike’s next take on the Air Force 1 offers the best of both casual and formal worlds, combining the sneaker with luxe brown leather details and wingtip oxford elements.
BUSINESS CASUAL — The “Brown Basalt” low-top arrives as part of Nike’s Luxe lineup, which gives the brand’s signature models a premium makeover. Doing away with the AF1’s typical white leather upper, the updated sneaker features a smooth brown leather upper accented by pebbled brown leather at the Swoosh and eyelets. Perforations on the toe box mimic those found on classic wingtip oxfords, while jagged stitches near the lateral Swoosh continue the dress shoe theme. Round black laces sit atop a nylon tongue to complete the look.
Underfoot, the Air Force 1 has been modified to withstand wet and slippery conditions. A thick mudguard with heavy stitching doesn’t let bad weather get in the way of the premium upper, while a chunky gum midsole and black rubber outsole boast jagged traction to give the sneaker a more boot-like grip. No matter what the weather (or occasion) is, the Brown Basalt AF1 has you covered.
SUMPTUOUS SNEAKERS — Nike has yet to announce when its luxe low-top will officially be released, although a drop is expected within the coming months on SNKRS. Pairs of the brown Air Force 1 are set to retail at $130, making the formal version only $30 more expensive than its casual counterpart — and if you really mean business, consider buying two pairs of the Brown Basalt sneaker, with one to rock and one to stock. You’ll have a sneaker versatile enough for any occasion.

What Would You Rate the Nike SB Dunk Low Mummy?
To perfectly coordinate with Halloween this year, a special Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” edition is suggested to drop as more detailed imagery of the silhouette have surfaced online. Simply mimicking a mummy’s aesthetic via its “Coconut Milk/Seafoam-Yellow Strike” color scheme, the model sports a tear-away upper as well, which is nicely offset by a turquoise-like colored Swoosh. Other thematic elements consist of a spider on the left toe, an Egyptian Eye of Horus on the inner tongues, followed by toilet paper and grass graphics on the insoles. Finally, glow-in-the-dark soles, heel tabs, and tongue labels round out the style.
Retailing for $110, look for the Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” at select Nike stockists and online in October. Always keep it locked to KicksOnFire for the latest in sneaker news, release dates and where to purchase your favorite kicks.

Twitter Wasn’t Happy About Sean Cliver’s Nike SB Dunks Selling Out On SNKRS
Today marked another eventful sneaker release Saturday, with several prizes up for grabs early this morning. At the top of the list was Sean Cliver's highly anticipated "Holiday Special" colorway of the resurgent Nike SB Dunk Low, along with the "Hyper Royal" Air Jordan 13 Retro and pieces from Drake's NOCTA Nike Sportswear collection. Most of the potential buying activity was directed toward the SNKRS app, which, as usual, resulted in mostly everyone who attempted to make a purchase empty-handed and feeling pretty pissed off. So much that SNKRS took the top trend on Twitter in the United States for a lengthy amount of time.
As you may have guessed, the vast majority of tweets mentioning SNKRS weren't exactly sent in support of the app. Sneakerheads are understandably (and predictably) unhappy, so we've rounded up some of the best reactions to today's drop to help us all smile through the pain.

Take a Sneak Peek at the Nike SB Dunk High "Medium Grey"
Another day, another SB Dunk - and we're not complaining. 2021 has been immense for the basketball-turned-skate silhouette, and as we reach the end of the year we're taking a sneak peek at the upcoming Nike SB Dunk High "Medium Grey", and we can already tell that it's going to be pretty popular this winter.
For some reason the "Medium Grey" reminds us of the legendary SB Dunk Low "NYC Pigeon" but we can't really put our finger on why. Working on top of a premium off-white leather base, this is contrasted by buttery smooth suede panels that wrap around the toebox, heel, and lacing system in a "Medium Grey" hue. A white tumbled leather Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels, while black laces tie everything together.
While Nike could've left this colourway pretty understated, they've injected some vibrant pops of colour throughout. For instance, the tongue tag and pull tab have been dipped in neon pink, while bold blue appears on the underside of the shoe. If you take an even closer look at the midsole, you'll find that the stitching is actually light blue. We're not sure why the Beaverton brand decided to do this but we're feeling it.
A release date has yet to be officially announced for the Nike SB Dunk High "Medium Grey", but rumour has it that they'll launch sometime next month. Let us know what you think of this upcoming colourway, and in related news, the Pass~Port x Nike SB Dunk High combines skate shoes with work boots!

When it comes to designing legendary sneakers, it’s safe to say that Nike has created some pretty epic offerings over the years. Colourways exaggerate the design of a sneaker, playing on the aesthetics to form a memorable look that consumers will want to wear. Here at The Sole Supplier we’re firm believers that colourways are an essential part of the formula when creating an iconic sneaker, so we’ve decided to delve into the history books and check out some of the best Nike colourways of all time.
Check out the list below for our choices as well as some background information on the history of these colourways and where they’ve appeared over the years. Keep it locked in right here for all the latest sneaker news and updates and while you’re here be sure to check out the rest of our site!
University Red First introduced in 1987 as the OG colourway of none other than the Air Max 1 (designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield), University Red is without a doubt one of the most recognisable colour schemes ever launched by Nike. Showcasing hits of red, white and grey, this colourway has graced some of the most legendary silhouettes over the years (the Air Jordan 3, Air Max 90 and Air Huarache to name but a few), but it will always resonate the strongest with the Air Max 1. Last launched back in 2017 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the AM1, could it be time for the Air Max 1 “University Red” to return soon?

Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High Banshee Debuting Next Week
Previously scheduled to debut last month, the Gundam x Nike SB Dunk High “Banshee” is slated to drop this month instead as new imagery of the silhouette are provided. Overall, this “Thunder Blue/Metallic Gold” colorway derives from the Japanese anime franchise Gundam, particularly from the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, a novel from the Gundam universe in celebration of its 15th anniversary. To further encapsulate the theme, the model bears a distinct logo printed on the heel, followed by geometric Swooshes that are interchangeable as a nod to its toy counterpart. Finally, the paneled aesthetic throughout the upper reflects the style of the Gundam suit to round out the design.

NIKE'S DUNK LOW GETS THE "SOUTH KOREA" TREATMENT
Following up on the women’s exclusive Air Jordan 3s released back in 2018.
Adding to its extensive lineup of Dunk Lows, Nike is now set to release a “South Korea“-themed iteration of the OG sneaker. The low-cut design takes inspiration from the colors of the Taegukgi (태극기) – the country’s national flag.
Arriving with a crisp white upper, the silhouette sees contrasting details on the heels, lacing system and mudguard in black. Bold red and blue hues take over the Swooshes as well as the heel tab, which is branded with “나이키 (Nike spelled out in Korean characters)” embroidery. Elsewhere, the Taegukgi appears on the tongue tag, while the design is rounded out with asymmetrical blue-and-red footbeds and outsoles.
The last time Nike released a Korea-themed footwear style was the 2018 women’s exclusive Air Jordan 3, which received a restock two years later. The label has yet to announce the official price and release date, but it is likely the “South Korea” Dunk Low will be a country-exclusive drop. Stay tuned as more details surface.
In other news, Nike will soon be releasing its transparent Air Max 96 created in partnership with Supreme.
