There will be rain, the clouds do say
As they gather in shades of grey
The drops will fall, one by one
And soon the storm will have begun
The trees will sway in the gusty breeze
Their branches dancing with such ease
To the rhythm of the windswept tune
As nature sings her sweet monsoon
The streets will flood, the rivers rise
As the rain falls from the skies
The world will seem a different place
As water takes over every space
But in the rain, there's beauty too
As droplets cling to all they're due
And glisten in the dimming light
A symphony of nature's might
So let the rain pour down today
For it brings new life in every way
Why would you cry, like the sky above?
Beneath your pain, there is only love

“Good things don’t last..”
“They don’t? That’s kind of sad.”
“It’s quite beautiful, actually.
The only reason why good things don’t last is because they live permanently in the present.
And so can you, my dear.”

about my demons.
they rush back to me - like they’ve never left.
they know how i’ve been distracting myself
and they let me.
and i know they did so easily,
cause they figured i’d come back shortly.
i’m never gone long,
cause i’m never gone really.
