just saw a furry go "ugh pup masks are the worst thing to happen to the furry community" and it's like what are you talking about those are your cousins, at the end of the day you're both pretending to be gay dog men, i think it's just an aesthetic choice at that point

i think a big part of expanding your intellectual curiosity and trying to learn new things about the world is to abandon the shame of not knowing things. don't blame "the US school system" (which US school system????), don't blame your teachers, don't blame society, but embrace the fact that you are going to be learning new things constantly, throughout your life. practice saying "i really need to read about that" or "does anyone know of any good sources to learn about xyz?" or "hold on i gotta go check wikipedia/a world map/the dictionary/the news." every single day, there will be something you don't know already. that something doesn't have to be embarrassing. instead it can be an opportunity to learn something new

sorry for having an intense erotic and incredibly inappropriate dalliance with the marble angel marking your grave after you died. if it makes you feel better it was entirely physical and i'll be breaking it off soon /lying

the main thing that jumped out at me when i was like 14 reading the DSM trying to understand what was wrong with me is when they talked about their methodology for figuring out diagnostic criteria between publishing new revisions, how it’s basically a feedback loop - they look at statistics that quantify older diagnostic criteria and try to find correlations & adjust, add or remove their criteria accordingly. and any kind of like neurological or biopsychiatric aspect to any kind of psychiatric disorder is determined after the diagnosistic criteria is determined in the first place. to me the parallels with modern applications of “AI” are obvious: ultimately all that‘s happening is an encoding of the contemporary biases legitimized by statistics with a lot of window dressing. you get a “symptoms syndrome” and material reality bends to fit.

The tone of the messages that I have been getting from Gazans are increasingly desperate and negative. Can ICC end the siege? Can we talk about that. I know everyone is tired of boosting personal gofundmes

Please donate to Eslam family!
“My name is Eslam from Gaza, I’m 29 years old, and I’m a children teacher from Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. a mother of two daughters, Hanaa 5 years old, and Alma, 10 months old. My husband Rasmi is the director of 3 language and training centers. In this war, our house was completely destroyed and razed to the ground, and my husband’s centers were blown up. He lost his job, and we were completely displaced, and we are now homeless and jobless, My two young daughters constantly suffer from diseases due to malnutrition and water pollution.
Danger and death surround us all day and all night. We have lost everything and depend on donations to survive and, most of all, to have any hope of escaping this genocide and evacuating to safety in Egypt. The cost of daily living continues to rise significantly in Gaza - imagine that we cannot find the type of milk for our daughter because of its high price. There is no kind of detergent and this is the cause of skin diseases for my two little girls. We bought a piece of soap for $30! ، and detergent is 100$"
As of 8:46pm November 11, 2024 (GMT+8) $31,955 raised out of $50,000

I love getting anons like- "of course you're anti psychiatry, you're delusional 🙄"
Wait until you find out how psychotic people are treated in psychiatry...
#prev#maybe people who have been harmed by psychiatry have more reason to be opposed to it compared to someone with no experience#antipsych
