Stagnating campaign close to its goal!!

I'm making this post for a fundraiser I've been supporting since the summer. This fundraiser belongs to @skatehani who is fundraising on behalf of his family in Gaza.

He is vetted, number 75 on the vetted fundraiser spreadsheet created by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi.

Apart from my donation today, the last donation was 13 days ago!! They cannot reach their goal if this pace keeps up. Lets not forget the people who aren't able to promote their fundraisers on tumblr.

Hello everyone,I am so happy and relieved to share that the Atallah family is safe and were able to welcome the ceasefire as a family. I would like to share an update directly from Ahmed Alostaz, the brother-in-law of Mohammed and the father of Amir and Baby Malak:

Hello my friends, I send you a message of thanks and gratitude to all of you for your support and standing by us during the difficult days we went through. I also congratulate you and myself on the end of this war. May this be the end of our suffering. To rebuild from the rubble, we ask for your continued support. Any donation amount makes a difference in our lives.

As you see in the photo attached below, the war destroyed our home and deprived us of everything. Mohammed, our beloved family member, needs urgent treatment abroad to save him. Amir, our two-year-old son, has never had a happy birthday. And Malak, our little girl, was born during the war so I have not yet had a chance to see her or play with her.

Due to the high prices and lack of vegetables, my family planted a small garden in the heart of the rubble to provide themselves with some fresh food, but this is not enough to feed everyone. We appeal to you from the bottom of our hearts to donate to help us rebuild our lives and save our children.

Every donation, no matter how small, will mean a lot to us.

Two days since last donation.

This stagnation of @ma7moudgaza2's campaign is devastating for many reasons, one of which is that he just received the news that to enroll to the upcoming semester, he needs to pay 10% of its fees in advance, in addition to having paid 30% of the previous semester.

Last year when Mahmoud was in danger of being barred from sitting for his midterms until he paid his fees, you all came through for him. I believe your generosity will come through again. ❤️

This is their story:

We are the Sarsour Family (Hamid, Nefouz, Ahmed and Belal) from Palestine and over the past 10 months our family has endured through two wars: Sudan and Gaza. Like many Palestinians in exile, we spent the last years in Khartoum, Sudan where we were able to build a life. Unfortunately, in May 2023 we were forced to flee Sudan as a result of the war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

We left behind all our belongings and spent our savings to be able to flee Sudan and move back to Gaza, only to be caught up in armed conflict once again. Both conflicts have been recognised as the most challenging humanitarian catastrophes of our time, so we are definitely lucky to be alive (Alhamdulillah!). The trauma and pain of our family has endured these past 10 months has been unimaginable.

Both of our parents, Hamid and Nefouz are elderly and in urgent need of consistent medical treatment and cannot walk long distances. Our father, Hamid, cannot handle physical activities for too long, therefore a long walk for evacuation is impossible for him as we do not own a car. He had an accident in which bones from his legs were cut, which is why he is in constant need of painkillers and care, something not available in Gaza right now. Our mother, Nefouz, suffers from early stages of diabetes and currently faces an UTI that needs urgent medical care and attention to avoid worsening.

As a result of the war in Sudan we also lost our jobs (Ahmed and Belal) as engineers and project managers. And the possibilities for job hunting in Gaza is non-existent, and were extremely difficult even before the conflict broke out in October. It is because of these unfortunate events, our family is seeking to evacuate Gaza as soon as possible, as the situation is turning more dire and difficult by the hour, especially for our parents. We may not survive if we stay as our neighbourhoods have been bombed and continue to be victims of exchanges of fire and attacks.

@kholoodpals a 29-year-old physiotherapist and mother of two children, two-year-old Amira and a newborn baby boy Omar, lives in northern Gaza. Kholood is seeking aid to assist her family in escaping the horrors of genocide in Gaza. To help them escape the suffering and give their children a chance to live without suffering and pain, the family is requesting donations. The first small target is $5,000 from $22,500.

Hey guys. I'm so sorry, trying to sell some commissions but they are not getting picked up. I am feeling a bit antsy; my dad has been experiencing some really worrying symptoms like his arm going numb, fatigue for no reason, chest pains and I have been trying to get him to go to hospital because he has had heart problems for 5 years now. Would absolutely love jf anyone can please help me foot bills because my dad refuses to go to hospital as he doesn't want to "burden" me;;

Feeling a bit anxious as my work deadline is very tight rn to the point I might lose my job if I miss it; am feeling scared and desperate. Any help I deeply appreciate as the year closes;;
