I don’t think it’s right for you to be asexual and married. It just doesn’t seem fair to your husband. He didn’t sign up to be in a sexless marriage? How do you make sure his needs are still met?
i trapped him in a jar like he’s a little bug and i throw some non-sexual intimacy in every once and a while so he has enrichment in his enclosure

the first law of tragedies: the end is already written and inevitable. the second law of tragedies: your actions are all your own and you can choose to get off this ride whenever you want. the third law of tragedies: we both know that you are never going to do that.

one of the biggest lies the fandom will tell you is that alfred pennyworth is a good man.
he’s horrible. people just don’t realize he’s horrible because they’re all too focus on the superheros.
not many people in the fandom know this, but alfred literally has a daughter. her name is julia. why does no one know about julia? BECAUSE HE ABANDONED HER. it’s canon that he chose the waynes over his OWN CHILD. when she’s introduced in the comics she hates her dad because he abandoned her in england to raise a child that wasn’t even his.
the infamous jason “a good soldier” memorial? yeah, alfred did that. bruce wanted it taken down. alfred also left jason’s destroyed robin suit on display.
alfred is the reason tim is robin. dick and bruce are trapped by two-face and alfred just… gives tim a robin costume and sends him on his way. no formal training. no anything.
ever blame dick for damian becoming robin? wrong. it was alfred. dick was against it. alfred is the first one to give damian the robin costume, like he did to tim years before. dick did eventually choose damian as his robin, but that was while damian was ALREADY ROBIN. (he even tells tim that he doesn’t pick tim to be his robin because he considers tim to be an equal, not a sidekick, but i digress)
when bane breaks bruce’s back, alfred literally packs up and leaves. he travels. he just drops everything and goes to explore the world, until dick eventually hunts him back down.
it’s also a common theme that alfred couldn’t find the right balance between being a father figure and a butler, so he was constantly enabling bruce growing up (and still does) because technically bruce was his boss… even though he had custody of him.
edit: actually technically (in some runs) bruce’s uncle has custody of him but literally makes being absent an olympic sport But you get what i mean
edit two: fixed the spelling mistakes that text to speech tiktok made me aware of. u guys are fake for not telling me. anyways fuck ai content farm accs

There’s this Undertale AU I remember in which Papyrus wakes up in the bed of flower at the start of the game, and everyone mistakes him as the human. I can’t remember the name of the AU for the life of me. Undertale community save me. Save me undertale community.

"The best thing we can do with power is give it away" - On the leftist critique of superhero narratives as authoritarian power fantasies:
The ongoing "Jason Todd is a cop" debate has reminded me of a brilliant brief image essay by Joey deVilla. [EDIT: I SCREWED UP! This was created in 2019 by the guy who runs the Midnighter-Core page on Facebook, and Joey just reposted it!]
So here it is, images first and the full essay text below:
"A common leftist critique of superhero comics is that they are inherently anti-collectivist, being about small groups of individuals who hold all the power, and the wisdom to wield that power. I don’t disagree with this reading. I dont think it’s inaccurate. Superheroes are their own ruling class, the concept of the übermensch writ large. But it’s a sterile reading. It examines superhero comics as a cold text, and ignores something that I believe is fundamental, especially to superhero storytelling: the way people engage with text. Not what it says, but how it is read. The average comic reader doesn’t fantasize about being a civilian in a world of superheroes, they fantasize about being a superhero. One could charitably chalk this up to a lust for power, except for one fact… The fantasy is almost always the act of helping people. Helping the vulnerable, with no reward promised in return. Being a century into the genre, we’ve seen countless subversions and deconstructions of the story. But at its core, the superhero myth is about using the gifts you’ve been given to enrich the people around you, never asking for payment, never advancing an ulterior motive. We should (and do) spend time nitpicking these fantasies, examining their unintended consequences, their hypocrisies. But it’s worth acknowledging that the most eduring childhood fantasy of the last hundred years hasn’t been to become rich. Superheroes come from every class (don’t let the MCU fool you). The most enduring fantasy is to become powerful enough to take the weak under your own wing. To give, without needing to take. So yes, the superhero myth, as a text, isn’t collectivist. But that’s not why we keep coming back to it. That’s not why children read it. We keep coming back to it to learn one simple lesson… The best thing we can do with power IS GIVE IT AWAY." - Joey deVilla, 2021 https://www.joeydevilla.com/2021/07/04/happy-independence-day-superhero-style/

Damian: Pennyworth, why do you have two rings on a chain around your necklace?
Alfred, thinking about the private "wedding" he Thomas and Martha had when Bruce was a toddler: Oh, these are Martha and Thomas' rings. I wear them to keep them close to my heart.
Damian:
Damian: oH.
*later in the batcave*
Damian, frantic: ALFRED ROBBED OUR GRANDPARENTS' GRAVES
Please let this be how Bruce finds out

I feel like some people need to relearn Genre Expectations... "Man, this tragedy sucks!!! Why didn't they just do XYZ, then everything could have ended happily!!" well, then it wouldn't be a tragedy, would it. "Man, this lighthearted teen romcom is terrible, it's so sappy and unrealistic!!" Well, yeah. If it had been gritty and dark, it wouldn't have been a lighthearted romcom, would it. Is the writing actually bad or are you just trying to order a milkshake from a Home Depot

And it has a good sequel
I feel like tumblr should be bigger fans of The Blues Brothers. It's a movie that has everything we value as a community. Attention and respect to pioneering black musicians, open hostility to nazis, open defiance to police, Carrie Fisher with a rocket launcher and flamethrower, a soundtrack that goes hard as hell, John Belushi so blasted on cocaine that he continues to do somersaults despite having a broken ankle. It's got it all!

So I have this person. We never spoke. We don't know eachother.
But any day I play Elden Ring in the evening, it doesn't matter if I'm dueling or cooping or invading, I have like a 20% chance of stumbling into him.
When I'm dueling it's ALWAYS very close. I think I'm slightly better but sometimes he wins.
When I'm cooping and he invades, he makes all the smart plays. Which is mostly "don't fight huggingtentacles kill the host as fast as possible". You know. It's a smart play.
And when I'm invading it's always a breeze to co-invade with him. He never hits me unnecessarily. He always pays attention when I'm in trouble. He takes aggro really well and most importantly he knows that when fighting 2v2 you have to be sandwiching the host and the phantom and not be on the same side. Good co-invader.
We have a bit of a rivalry going on? Whenever we fight eachother it's always the most tryhard shit that you'll ever see. The kind of shit that makes Redditors disconnect in tears. All is fair game when we fight because god damn I if one of us loses the winner gets to do the "Bravo" gesture which might be genuine expression of being impressed but it's probably sarcastic.
It's always very hype to see him. I get very fired up. No matter how shitty my day is he always lights me up and forces me to play full force.
I hope he's doing alright.

(LONG THREAD AHEAD)
I pitched the idea for "regional" Saiyans. Saiyans who evolve and adapt to their settled climates. Whis tells Goku and Vegeta that there are smaller Saiyan tribes that inhabit other less universes (not just U6).
These Saiyans inhabit a water/ice-based planet. They're based off of Japanese macaques or "hot spring monkeys". Naming system has been after bathroom products. They're super lazy but can inflict heavy damage if you engage a fight with them.
Planet Sento is predominantly an ice planet. The tropical hot springs are made from volcanic vents underneath that melt the ice of the surrounding area. Sentos have thick skin and fur and are accustomed to the scalding temperatures of the springs.
They're classified in roles: Therapies, Offense troopers, transporters, and Elders. Transporters are the Sento Saiyans with the thickest coasts who haul resources or thinner coat Saiyans to and from neighboring tribes. Offense Troopers are usually male/females with thick-enough coats who protect the Transporters. Therapies are females with thinner coats that can't venture through the arctic areas and they perform massage therapy on the troopers or transporters. If a Sento Oozaru is calmed enough from thrashing by soaking in the hot springs, Therapies swoop in to try and revert it back to base form using head scritches or giant leaf fanning.
Their courting/mating practices consist of top-tier acrobatic performances to impressing mates. Hetero/Homosexual relationships accepted.
They only really turn into Oozarus if you agitate them or they can't get access into the hot springs. Their skin and fur is thick enough to take the boiling temps of the spring but can scald regular skin. The spring has senzu-bean and muscle stimulator properties.
They don't really speak a lot since they sleep most of the time so they use ASL to communicate most of the time.
Powerwise I'd place them at SSJ3 level only when they're active fighting. They're fight primal style at ground-base. They cannot fly but can launch themselves in momentum. They can't sense energy but go by scent.
Main thing is Super forms. They do not physically turn into the forms. They learn to use the form's properties. (stamina\ki control\moveset). Think Ikari Broly. The only indicator of what form they're utilizing is eye color. If they're using SSJ, their eye color will change to the form's eye color.
In origins, there were a group of og saiyans that served under Vegeta's Great Grandfather and they decided to step away from the throne. They were exiled and accidentally discovered beings who could travel between universes at will. They had no desire to come back with Cold's regime active.
(There's a lot more information and I'll update the post again later.)
