Do we ever think about how gen gifted senku the most personal thing he could possibly have. An observatory. A telescope. Something that always tied senku and byakuya together. Does he feel connected to byakuya when he's in there looking up even though the sky is ever so slightly different than the one he used to ask him questions about? And I wonder if he ever realizes how unintentional but fully intentional it was that gen gave him two gifts that day, and how happy he is to be loved that deeply, and to be reminded of a love that lasted millennia. I wonder if he wants byakuya to know that too

Just read your post about being a Kagi Connoisseur (I very much approve of Kagi being a fan of highschool musical)

Could you tell us more hc about Kagi's taste in movies?

Personally I believe he loves the og air bud. (I can't tell if he would be into dog movies as a genre but the image of him loving this movie about a golden retriever who plays basketball is very precious to me.)

I like to think that he loves romcoms (movies and shows honestly) bc he's a hopeless romantic. He specifically targets the friends to lovers tropes bc of his view on romance re: his parents and their relationship. And I imagine he gets SOOO invested in the relationship so he gets really said when there's a breakup arc. He takes it personally when they say certain things to each other, etc.

Lowkey, I also think he'd like tragedies (bro would love titanic for ex). Kagiura isn't pessimistic in any sense but I also wouldn't call him an optimist ngl, so I imagine tragedies for him aren't generally depressing as they are just emotional in general, and i think he's an emotional person, so he likes them for the feels they give bc feelings for him are very important to be in touch with! (I also think some of these genres etc he would be influenced to watch or watch with his family but that's a whole diff can of worms)

This page never fails to make me laugh (in a good way) because I just have to imagine being sasaki here. Every previous impression of Kagiura (that wasn't because of what Hirano has said about him) has been wiped from his memory (e.g. ch. 12). You think you're having a normal conversation with your friend and you look up and your friend's roommate is giving you the CRAZIEST look and we've yet to see what the look is. I find it so funny particularly because of how tense this moment was. Like I FELT it. And the fact that it's sasakagi makes me have to laugh. This is (at least some) the context of their awkward "i don't like him" thing we've been waiting for.

Which makes me wonder why in ch. 46 sasaki was asking about him, like considering the state of their relationship were seeing currently, I couldn't imagine sasaki going out of his way to talk to him, so why ask about him at all lol also he really does not retain any info about kagiura only "kagi-kun" because that's what hirano calls him and that's he's on the basketball team. They're so funny dawg. I bet kagiura couldn't even tell u anything about sasaki at all. They're too funny

Also, I rlly hope we get to see them interact again... preferably alone bc that would be hilarious. Can yall tell I love them they're so awkward and stupid and weird. It's the funniest dynamic in the series by far and they've interacted (directly) once. I don't have them but there were graduation messages for each character from sempai to kouhai and vice versa after the movie, and Kagiura did thank Sasaki (reluctantly) and Sasaki did acknowledge Kagiura (reluctantly) which makes me think they do interact again. And my God they're just so funny. I could write an essay on how funny I find them

well okay first and foremost obviously hirano is a big point. we saw kagiura’s jealous ep just recently and I think while he’s probably a bit more confident in terms of his impact on hirano, he & sasaki have a similar sort of feeling like… sasaki is like. oh that’s hirano’s roommate who he’s got this Thing with, and I’m just his classmate. and kagiura’s like. that hirano’s friend who he’s got that Thing with… and am I just his roommate? so there’s this sense of. not knowing how important they are in hirano’s eyes. debatable as to how true either evaluation is. hirano says he’s not that close to sasaki, but it’s his second year at this point, and I think they undoubtedly get a bit more Attached as time goes on.

probably sasaki also pays a lot more attention to kagiura than kagiura does, at first. like kagiura is concerned about sasaki in a sense of “how close is he to hirano?” and sasaki is thinking about kagi in the sense of “that’s that… roommate, that hirano has. with that kind of ambiguous relationship. I’ll leave hirano to it… no way I’m telling myaa-chan about this also.” so I think he just collects like, little facts abt kagiura. and eventually in conversation he’ll dryly mention one of them like, “oh, right, hirano said you had a hard time waking up in the mornings” and kagiura will be stunned like. wait… hirano-san talks about me??? and sasaki won’t say anything like “he adores you” but he will say “yeah.”

so as for kagiura towards sasaki, I think kagiura’s probably a bit too excitable for sasaki, but sasaki would do that thing where he’s like. nice. in a really casual way. and kagiura would start to see him differently. like at first, to kagiura, he’d be hirano’s friend who gets hirano’s attention a lot and hangs out with him… and then sasaki and him would meet and they’d sit awkwardly for a meal or something and chat incredibly casually… sasaki’s like. so. you do basketball, huh? and kagiura’s like. oh! yeah! and sasaki hums and is like. okay. and it’s horrendously awkward and then he pays for the meal without blinking. maybe kagiura sees him smile about miyano. he’ll see something, is the point. I think sasaki’s not good at first impressions at all but he’s also thoughtlessly unknowingly charming.
