Grade: 13/18, those 5 points would be lost from the title/credits/citations and also the 3 peer reviews. Although the film is not finished, I have incorporated different sound aspects, different modes of images, and have shown some organizational structure to the film. I have been working on the sound quality and video editing in order to optimize the quality.

Part One:
o Sandwich and Soda (1964) by Roy Lichtenstein
§ Information: There is a plate with a sandwich cut diagonally, a soda in what looks like a glass coca cola cup, and a slightly opened straw. The background of the painting is split in half where the top half is red and the bottom is blue.
§ Tone: The first emotion that comes to mind is joy. A sandwich and a nice cold soda pop is the ideal American lunch meal that has the ability to reconnect individuals to a calm to and can connect to many individuals because of that.
§ Reaction: Personally, this image brings me to a summer day either sitting on my deck by the pool or the beach with the warm sun beating down on me. I can taste the refreshing sensation that a nice, cold soda brings upon from one of these days.
o Pine at Five O’Clock (1945) by Walt Kuhn
§ Information: A green pine tree is the epicenter of the painting that contains the most detail and focus. The background contains a blue sky with a few clouds and a blurry tree line. The painting is at 5 oclock pm it seems because of the angle of the light.
§ Tone: The tone is very calm. This clearly depicts the calmness and serenity that nature provides.
§ Reaction: This painting personally made me very nostalgic. At first my reaction is extreme happiness because of the memories that were brought up spending time with family and bonding, but then brings sadness that these types of adventures don’t happen anymore.
o Final Step (1978) by Cynthia Carlson
§ Information: This piece could be classified as chaotic order. There’s many different patterns and colors that contradict each other; however, the patterns go together and create a repetitive flow to the art. Shapes like zig zag lines, plus signs, circular figures, and patches of yellow.
§ Tone: The 2nd law of thermodynamics in laymen’s terms says that entropy, or the tendency for disorder, will always increase in an isolated system. Basically, the universe is generated off of the increase in disorder. This piece displays those characteristics in way that the more random pieces added, the more chaotic, but wholesome the piece of art became.
§ Reaction: The clearest reaction I had was confusion. I try to see some sort of pattern or form to the piece but there seems to be no deeper meaning behind it. It is chaotic because there are many different materials utilized and layered to form the piece.
· Part Two:
o Metaphor
§ My diet is similar to the piece, “Final Step” by Cynthia Carlson.
· Part Three:
§ My diet and the art piece are in comparison in a sense that both consist of organized chaos. I understand my diet may seem excessive or crazy to some people; however, there is a reason behind all the food I eat whether it be for my physical health or my mental health.
